Man we had good service but the food was overpriced. I couldn’t find anything I wanted to eat ( at a decent price) on the menu and overpaid for a small salad. I give mostly 5 stars to restaurants. This one is probably a great place for a certain demographic, but not for me.
I’m not paying $22 for a cheeseburger!

The food was amazing! I had the scallop and risotto dish, profiteroles for dessert and 2 red wines. I sat at the bar and the bartender was nice and quick with everything. I was visiting from out of town and would highly recommend this place to anyone headed here!

I wanted to like this place more than I did. Returning here is a possibility, but I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the food itself.
The up sides: service was awesome. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, super nice and very attentive. They also have a fantastic late happy hour menu of half portions. We ended up with the steak frites (upgraded with truffle oil), fried and stuffed French ravioli, and profiteroles.
The steak, which is only 4 oz on the HH menu, was dry and tasteless. It was also overcooked (I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well). The fries were delicious and plentiful for a reduced portion.
The ravioli was tasty but average. I was expecting (and would have enjoyed) a crispy-fried coating. Instead, it was consistency of a baked empanada.
The profiteroles were good, but I've had much better. They did the job but I wouldn't say that anything we ordered delicious other than the fries.
The space is cute, the staff is nice and the prices are right. There was a lot of seafood options on the HH menu, which wasn't up my alley. So perhaps it's worth checking out on your own, but my guess is that you can find better French food in KC.

Just average, the service was rude at the beggining by the waiter but we choosed bar and it improves, it's an expensive place for what they offer, won't come back.

Westport Cafe is a fantastic spot for dinner! The food and drinks are consistently excellent, and the service is always top-notch. I recommend booking in advance since it tends to get busy. It can get quite loud, so if you're looking for a very quiet restaurant, this might not be the place. However, it's one of my favorite spots for casual dining in the heart of Westport. Highly recommend!

Food and service were top notch. The atmosphere is good, but the environment is noisy due to the open space with hard surfaces, and the seating could be more comfortable (old age issues). Highly recommend, I can't imagine anyone leaving disappointed.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarians can find something to eat here but it's not focused food category for this restaurant.

Everything on the menu is immaculate. The vibes are on point, the staff are friendly and helpful, the attention to detail is just ? The prices are also incredibly fair for the quality, amazing place for an intimate date or even just a drink after work. Don't sleep on this place!!!

My friend found a spot that was still serving food late, it was Westport Cafe. I was expecting a little diner sort of place. It's so far from that! It's elegant but not pretentious. Feels very French. Serves French-American fare. The drinks were EXCELLENT (highlighted the drinks we got in the photos), we made it in time for their 10 p.m. happy hour with small plates, which were also EXCELLENT. I don't say that lightly. Everything was so well balanced and thoughtful. The server was so sweet, had detailed answers to all of our random questions like, "HOW was that cheese sauce for the fried ravioli made?!" We finished with the madelines which were made to order, warm and delightful and had a really nice jam sort of sauce for it.
I liked it so much I proposed it for brunch the next morning, which also did not disappoint!! Split the HUGE STACK of lemon ricotta pancakes and croque madam with my husband. The truffle fries that came with it were so crisp and delicious. Once again, wait staff was very warm and friendly. Will be suggesting Westport Cafe to anyone that will listen. ;)

In addition to loving Westport Cafe’s food, we also used their consulting services for spirits and wine selections in our restaurant. Kevin did a fabulous job and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a great restaurant consultancy.
