Whataburger Liberty, MO

Ordered curbside. When we got the food, they had left out all of the fries, all of the sauces, and all of the drinks were wrong. Went inside to get the right stuff and they said absolutely nothing. No apology, just shoved the correct stuff my way.

We dined in. First off, there were friends of the employees in the restaurant, not eating, but preventing the employees from assisting customers. After standing there for several minutes we were finally asked if we had been helped. Our order was taken and these visitors were staring at us because apparently we interrupted there visiting. The food was good, but the customer service needs work.

Usually we come to whataburger and have no complaints but today was not great. We ordered a #1 with ketchup only and discovered only after we were home it was loaded. Our fries were soggy, the onion rings are usually on point but tonight were also soggy and kind of cold. The chocolate shake had an odd flavor. Just overall not the experience we usually have. We ended up having to go elsewhere and buy different food. I would have left this on the customer survey instead of publicly because they are usually on point but the receipt we were given had no prices and no survey info.

The cashier, Makensie was the epitome of customer service with a light calm happy demeanor, never stressed always smiles. The cook even asked how our food was. It was as a five star experience. Exceeded expectations as a burger joint. Fantastic family friendly restaurant. Makensie welcomed every person that walked in and wished everyone a great evening as they left.

I haven’t had whataburger in years and I used to love it, so I was excited to eat there again! However, it fell short. From waiting at the register for an employee for 5+ minutes before realizing there was a kiosk to order at - no signs indicating. They were out of numbers to take so still had to flag someone down. Then the food…I’m obviously older than when I had ate it before and possibly my tastebuds have changed but the burger had no flavor. The meal seemed very cheap, like cheaper than McDonald’s. The medium fry came half empty. We ordered grilled onions on the burgers and there was barely any on there! The chocolate shake was good but believe they have them premade. There is better fast food elsewhere, save your money and go to Culver’s.

One star for atmosphere because I did not go inside. The burger that I got was okay but was not amazing. But the blackberry doctor pepper shake was awesome.
