Didn’t hear the bounce ask for ID when walking into watch drag race. Went back and showed my ID. The staff acted very weird about deep checking my ID with it being out of state. If checking ID is that serious just use a scanner. After wards was sitting down watching drag race. As a black woman
did not feel like it was a truly inclusive space, heard multiple white individuals making comments about black culture that made me feel uncomfortable. Also heard white individuals saying the exact jokes I told me friends to their friends 🙃

Came in on a Saturday around 9:30 pm to a basically empty bar along with I tried to go up and order a cocktail from their website and was prompted with the bartender saying “I have no idea what that is” i’m sure its more lively during the summer but it was a disappointment

What a great bar.
It's a fun cozy little gay bar in Kansas City. The drink prices are reasonable and the workers have always been friendly to me. I just wish the place could be bigger because it does sometimes feel cramped.

Boyfriend and I were dancing and he picked me up and we fell accidentally. They kicked us out when we barely made a scene, there was barely anyone down where we were dancing together. It was an honest mistake, we weren't drunk just enjoying each other. I get it if we were stumbling and being loud and causing fights, etc, understandable. But we were doing NONE of the above. We were not drunk at all, we were just having fun. To be kicked out for that reason and to be asked to not come back was excessive and was unacceptable. I get there are certain rules that must followed, but when talking to said people, if we do not showcase stuttering, slurred speech, hunched over and unresponsive are all reasons to kivk someone out. We didn't meet any of the above requirements to actually kick anyone out for ill behavior. We are not not loud, we were just having a moment together. Rules of an establishment should be where you walk in and can read it upon entering. If there are specific rules then they should be showcased. Other than him picking me up and we fell there was not actually any reason to kick us out, a notification to not do that would have been acceptable. My boyfriend had just told me loved me tonight and we were in the rose colored glasses moment, we are sorry if we did cause a "scene." The excitement was real and we were not too drunk to be "handled" by the rude bartender. It was a wholesome moment and this bar does not accept that apparently. We drove home and made it safely because WE WERE NOT DRUNK!!! Just enjoying the moment together. I get they have a lot of those types of customers but based on the characteristics of said drunk person, we did not meet those requirements. The environment was acceptable.
