“Wow was I in for a surprise. My cell phone was not charging so I stopped into Sherry's place to ask directions. When Sherry learned that my cell was not keeping a charge on my motorcycle without a word, she grabbed it and put it on a charger behind the bar. After two cold beers and one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever eaten, I left with directions from not only Sherry but some of the very kind and helpful local folks. And a nearly fully charged phone. And by the way, I can judge a cheeseburger. Iowa Beef Association selected the Cider House in Fairfield, Ia as Best Hamburger in Iowa. The burger I had at Sherry's was every bit as good. With the first bite, I was hunched over the basket while I was searching madly for a napkin to mop up the juice on my face. This place is worth hunting for.”
