This restaurant was recommended to us by a local from another similar restaurant when they “ran out of food” that we were ordering specifically. She said she’d rather have been eating at Pops but she was with a group who chose the restaurant that shall remain nameless. The young lady who served us ran a tight ship but very friendly with everyone. She knew many of the locals who came in and was very present.The food was tasty with tender meats and yummy sides to round it out. If you are a dipper, you’ll be very happy with the 5 sauces they made in-house and are not stingy with!I would have loved some southern sweet tea on ice, butI had to remind myself we were in the Midwest , and I get why they do bottled drinks only. They offer yummy sounding desserts but we couldn’t even finish our entrees, so maybe next time.

Great location on my Branson West circuit.This location has added nice outdoor benches & chairs on a patio.Top knoch service. Open style kitchen. You are welcomed in by everyone.I typically pick up food while I am waiting for a vehicle to be serviced close by.Moist, delious cornbread muffin.Pork was excellently cooked.They offer many sauces for their BBQ. The sauceier the better.

Best barbeque around. We've been many times. Our favorite is the nachos. They are loaded with Mac and cheese , his special beans, pulled pork , sausage, cheese .. so yummy.. and his sauces are out of this world.

Down home, slap-yo-mama BBQ. Seriously though, it's really really good food, don't be looking for a five star restaurant here, this is a BBQ joint with great people and lip-lickin good food.

The BBQ is fantastic here. You have to try the Mac and Cheese; it's the best around. The owner and staff are always friendly. I never had bad service or food from Pop's Smoke Shack--a great place to eat.

We ordered one of Pop’s smoked turkeys for Thanksgiving, and man, I just cannot overstate how amazing it was. It was ready on time, and the taste is just out of this world! My family enjoyed every bite of that wonderful bird. On top of that, the burnt ends combo and Mactastic we ate for dinner last night while prepping sides were just as good if not better! The Kelly beans in the Mactastic are something else. Probably worth a review on their own. Phenomenal, delicious, and original. Cole slaw is like none I’ve had before and is great, as were the cukes & onions and potato salad. Having great barbecue is a must for a place like this, but you can see the care and passion when the sides are not just average fair.This little shack is worth the drive. 10/10, would eat here again.

This place had awesome bbq. Started to go to another bbq place down the road and thought we would try something different. Don’t let the size of the place determine the quality of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the variety of bbq sauces and atmosphere. We will be back for sure!
