The coffee was excellent. I love that they don't have wifi. In a world where everyone is hyper-connected, having a little sanctuary from that is really nice. The owners are really great, they make you feel like you've been friends for years.

This place is such a hidden gem! I love that they don’t offer Wi-Fi—it creates an atmosphere where people actually talk to each other and enjoy the moment. The energy here feels warm, genuine, and refreshing compared to the usual coffee shop scene.
The drinks are not only affordable but also absolutely delicious. Their house-made syrups are next level—so natural, perfectly balanced, and unlike anything you’ll find in a chain café. You can really taste the care that goes into everything they make.
If you’re looking for a spot to slow down, connect, and enjoy quality coffee with great company, this is the place. Can’t recommend it enough!

I recently visited Pothos Coffee in Kimmswick, MO, and left wondering if the owner is actively trying to tank their own business. This place seems to operate on a bizarre blend of pretension and incompetence, masquerading as some sort of “progressive” coffee shop vibe. Spoiler: it’s a disaster.
First, the “no laptops allowed” policy is a laughable misstep. In an era where remote work is the norm, banning laptops alienates a massive demographic of customers who might want to, you know, actually stay and spend money. Basically the owner is too cheap for WiFi and wants to pass it off as progressive. I can only assume the owner Erica—likely bankrolled by some rich “investor” spouse—lacks the basic business acumen to understand that coffee shops thrive on lingering patrons, not arbitrary gatekeeping. Pair this with the complete absence of WiFi and zero cell service in the area, and you’re left with a connectivity black hole that renders the place useless for anyone with a life in 2025.
The menu is another trainwreck. No nonfat milk, no oat milk, both considered staples of any coffeehouse. Want a splash of almond milk in your coffee? That’ll be an extra $1. Speaking of overpriced, my “cold brew”, probably 12 ounces at best, served up for a jaw-dropping $7 (including a $1 tip). For that price, I expect a drink that doesn’t disappear in three sips.
The bakery selection is equally pathetic. Their sign boasts having “pastries,” but all they had was one sad type of scone. False advertising much?
And don’t get me started on the syrup options—four flavors. Four. This isn’t a coffee shop; it’s a minimalist experiment gone wrong.
Pothos Coffee seems to think it’s reinventing the wheel, but all it’s doing is driving customers away with overpriced, undersized drinks, a laughably limited menu, and policies that scream “we don’t want your business.” Save your money and your sanity—go literally anywhere else.

I’m kicking myself for not taking a photo of how cute the inside of Pothos coffee shop is. A gem for our community. I loved the lavender latte… not too sweet and just right. They just do things right and also found a really cute hat for my sister in law. Very kind people , serving very good coffee.

Charming coffee shop in the heart of Kimmswick. The coffee and sweet treats are delicious, the aesthetic lovely and baristas so kind and helpful. I love the plants and the owner gives advice on the different types for your home too. Must go!

The scone was tasty and I loved the lavender iced latte and added half a serving of mocha. Not too sweet or strong. 10/10

Amazing coffee. ☕️
Catie was super nice and helped me find the coffee that I would like best. We will definitely be back. Also there is a little kid area with toys and as a mom of a toddler I GREATLY appreciate that. Super cute place. I highly recommend.
