The Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery

I have eaten at Blue Owl many years ago and found the food excellent. When my sister and brother in-law flew down for a visit we took a family group on Sunday, October 12th. We had a reservation under name of Reupke. My sister and I ordered the breakfast trio. The American fries were greasy and cold. The ham was also cold. Definitely disappointed. Was not the same quality I remembered. Also purchased an apple crumble pie. Nothing special! I bought a pie at Schnucks for a third of the price that was much better!

We had a pretty large party and at first it seemed rocky as they didnt know where to place us but our witness was awesome and food was amazing!

We'd heard about the Blue Owl from family and wanted to try it for ourselves. We went for lunch midweek and were seated immediately. Our sever was very friendly and the food was good. Save room for their spectacular desserts. Note that they also have a bakery counter for treats at home as well.

Home style delicious food,comfort food grandma use to make. Priced just right!

We bought 4 Kinds of mini pies and all of them were spectacular. Levee High mini was just a teensy bit dry.

Okay so not only is the service impeccable (went for breakfast) but the MILE HIGH CARAMEL APPLE PIE………. im speechless. I’m not kidding you when I say I moaned after the first bite. Run do not walk to get a slice.

I always order my birthday cakes from there. Lemon cake is so delicious. And the owner Mrs. Mary I love her she was so kind to me and prayed over me. I will travel again and again to support this Christian restaurant and bakery.

They have great food here, they also have a gluten free menu if you ask. :)
I have Celiac and didn't get glutened from my experience.
Just wish they had a gluten free option for one of their pies or cakes!

This is a really cool place just south of St. Louis. It has been on our radar to come here for quite a while, just for the pies, but we actually stayed for lunch and took the pies to go. We had the Reuben and patty melt with fries and curly fries.

I’m a fry snob, so I was a little disappointed they were frozen, given the $3.79 up charge of you wanted them vs chips. The meals were good otherwise. The levee high caramel apple pie is to die for.

The Reuben Sandwich was Great and the Levee High Caramel Apple pie 🥧 was to die for.
