I have to say that for a college town, with two universities, the atmosphere is fairly chill. They have 3 pool tables, with free pool Monday from 1 PM to 1:30 AM. Their food is some of the best. ($$$) Their drinks are great also, but also a bit. ($$) Overall, they have the best bar in town. Clean, friendly, good vibes, and many TVs to catch just about anything Sports related.

I have been a long time customer of Dukum. I enjoy it every time, fun environment, good drinks, and fantastic service. Recently, my concern has grown towards the management. I had the misfortune of witnessing the manager, who I previously throughly enjoyed, belittling and arguing with servers as they attempted to work around her. It was an unfortunate and childish situation. Dukum is my favorite bar in Kirksville, its so sad to see it’s workers being mistreated so publicly.

Manager and staff refused to serve me for unclear reasoning, kicked out and told to come back and discuss it. Set up a meeting and was told the reasoning was that I was wearing a tank top. Seemed kinda strange but okay, I agreed to not wear them. Came in the next weekend and am treated the exact same way. So clearly the point of the meeting was to mess with me?

I dunno why they are being like this but maybe it has something to do with me being a former employee? I was let go for “not being a fit for the service industry.” But I didn’t think that mattered at all months later.

Maybe find another place that can treat people with an ounce of professionalism or transparency? I dunno what cliquey BS theyre on but the dive bar vibe and overpriced fried food aren’t worth it.

Best bar in Kirksville, hands down. They still do the all you can drink option Thursdays starting at 9p which includes the house tap beer, well liquor and mixers. $10 cash, $15 with card.

While the free popcorn machine is no longer on offer, there's a full menu of food, some solid beers on tap from around the state and beyond, and plenty of TVs and games to keep you occupied - shuffleboard, darts, pool, and more.

Notice the ceiling and those that have celebrated their 21st have made their mark by getting a dollar to stick.

Always a good time, with great people. A must-visit.

The fry bread taco was delicious!! The locals were very friendly and they have a great selection of draft beers.

A big group was in town for meeting and we wanted to have some fun. Looking for a place that we could eat, drink and be merry we saw this.
The name itself made us all smile, though we were skeptical about getting decent food.
We took a chance and it paid off.
12 of us walked in and we're trying to get the lay of the land when a man at the bar mentioned we could push some tables together. Turns out he was the owner and he helped us, directed me to some good bourbon he had and we enjoyed some conversation.
Our server, likely a young college student, was not so happy to see us and was less than accommodating and obviously we were his last table, he just wanted to leave.
That did not stop us from enjoying surprisingly good bar food, overall acceptable service and an excellent location where the owner actually was there, worked and appreciated our coming in.
If you live here or just passing through, it's it a local treasure since the 1930s and you should support this type of business.
Well done DuKum Inn!!

Food is okay, majority of it is overpriced and frozen. Where Dukum inn struggles is its management. The main manager is all over the place and disorganized. Save your money and look somewhere else.

Kirksville is severely lacking in quality food establishments, But this will do. If you like sauce on your wings, you'll want to go elsewhere

Very friendly bartender and atmosphere with very nice pool tables and an almost saloon type feel to it. We only had drinks but no complaints would definitely go back again.

The Dukum Inn is currently involved in a lawsuit due to stealing employee wages (mostly college students) for the last 5 years, do not support this terrible money hungry family or there shady business
