“Baxters is one of my new spots to dine! Great people at this place! Chef Corey was amazing to talk to and the only one that knew the ingrediants/flavors/spices to my favorite steaks in the world, a Florentine Steak! I knew at that instance I was going to give this place a try. Talking to Ted ,the owner of Baxters ,about my bad experience at the restaurant next door,(JBH) and them charging us over a $120 for one plate( price was not concerning, but them hiding it until we ate the worst food in our fine dining experience was!) that included frozen lobster that could not be eaten all the way due to it being so tough from being frozen too long and not getting silverware for over 20 minutes after the dinner was served, he gave us confidence in his restaurant by personally inviting us with an open reservation of our timing and at any spontanious moment and showing me the kitchen which could not be exceeded in cleanliness or matched in appearance and professionalism. My business in serving commercial kitchens gives me the insight into many restaurants and this experience guarentees our return. Total recommendation in all they provide. Oh and lets not forget the service, top notch, there was not an empty glass or dirty dish left on our table more then 5 seconds and the timing of our courses insured a complete experience with no time to wait! “Was there last night for a special event. Very nice place, well designed with a large fire pit by the stage. Lot's of room for dancing during concerts. Will try out the happy hour and the weekend breakfast. I heard they have the best chicken tenders. Will see.”

“The sushi was so fresh and absolutely delicious! We enjoyed watching Leah create beautiful rolls just for us. The squid salad was so tender and fresh, and we couldn’t decide which we loved more…the Tokyo roll, the Tsunami roll, or the White Tiger which was almost considered dessert it was so, so good! It’s def our new sushi go-to. Very highly recommended!”

“Just moved here a month ago, and already this bar reminds me of home! Fantastic atmosphere for Hawkeye games! If you love the Hawkeyes or Chiefs football, this is the place for you. The owners are absolutely welcoming and the staff is great! Not to mention their karaoke nights are so welcoming and friendly!”

“Well we went to another restaurant near Casablanca-we had our dog and was told they no longer accept pets. So as we were leaving someone eating there told us to go to Casablanca they have great pizza and you can take your dog. Well the restaurant that refused us did us the biggest favor. Casablanca has the BEST margarita, pizza bruschetta and chicken wings. And the service was superior-Chad thank you so much, we will definitely be back.”

“They had outdoor seating near the swimming pool for the inn. The view was spectacular. Kenzie was an excellent server. She was knowledgeable about the daily special and helped guide us to the perfect bottle of wine. We enjoyed a meat and cheese board. Those marinated olives were wonderful.”

“We are locals, but had not been to the strip recently. We ordered Burgers, fries and Brussel sprouts TO GO. They all far exceeded our expectations. Probably the best burger we’ve had! And the service was really great…SUPER friendly and accommodating from the moment we placed our carry out order and continued until pickup. We will definitely be back!”

“We ate at JJ twigs last night on a Friday night here in the winter at Lake of the Ozarks and the special was a large $15 pizza with up to four toppings which you can’t beat that deal anywhere, not to mention draft 16 ounce beers were $2.75 from 3 to 7. Not only was Nate tending bar and killing it, he was also handling all the tables in the front portion of the establishment as well, the beers never even hit the bottom before he brought another! We will be back very soon….oh and the pizza was fantastic!”
