“My family and I visited Big Ry's to celebrate my son's birthday and it was a great experience! The staff were more than accommodating. They went the extra mile and provided paper plates. plastic forks and utensils for the cake we brought, without us having to ask. Our drinks were always full and the pizza was AMAZING!! Hands down the best thin crust pizza I have had. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend Big Ry's!”
“They do amazing with making sure to replace an entire plate if there’s ever an accidental mess up with my food since I cannot have dairy, wheat or eggs due to allergies. Heather was our server today and she was so pleasant and kind. She made sure to take down our order with care as to not make any mistakes. Was a great experience! Highly recommend.”
“Amazing breakfast! Don’t hesitate, just go! Crab cakes Benedict was superb. Cinnamon rolls bigger than your head! Full bar. Service flawless. Best breakfast ever! We will be back anytime we are at Lake.”
“Valentine's Day dinner 2024. Had reservations. Had to wait briefly while walk-in diners were seated before us. Not sure what was up with that. But we got a great table so maybe that's why we waited. Food was excellent as usual. Waitress was great. FYI, if you order a cocktail on ice, they charge $5 for a large ice cube, no warning. Odd. Could have taken the ice from our water glass for free. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with good food, just a couple unexpected quirks, atypical of Baxters.Older: View is great. Food is good and plentiful. Short wait for a "great table" by a wall (to be fair there was a window by my husband) at 149 pm on a Thursday before Memorial day.”
“If they’ve made the puff pastry with fresh strawberries the day you go, grab! They’re light and delectable—and picture-pretty.They’ve now added pizza-style toasts, you choose toppings. The shrimp-scampi toast was one of a kind—creamy and satisfying, and almost enough for two people. It’s more than a coffeeshop by now. It’s a lunch place worth paying attention to.”
“Unique, gourmet choices at 1932 Reserve. Prices are on the high side, considering the rather casual atmosphere. The sea bass was perfection, but at $50, that should be expected. Husband loved the double pork chop and friends enjoyed the 1/2 chicken and huge burger. Great homemade desserts, too. Service was helpful and friendly. Overall great experience.”
“The food is always fresh and fantastic. They have a good variety to choose from. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You should definitely stop in and give them a try!”
“The service James provided was some of the best I’ve experienced in the restaurant industry! He was fantastic! I will continue to come back as long as he’s working.Thank you James, for your incredible hospitality!”
“(Wow)is about all I can tell anyone. This little cantina is a diamond in the rough. Good food good service reasonable prices. For weekend diners my suggestion is come a little later for lunch or a little bit earlier for dinner. My favorite is the steak quesadilla with rice and beans.”
“This is a hole-in-the-wall kind of Pizzaria, so it's not built for atmosphere. But if you want a great homemade pizza or other Italian type fare , then this is the place. It is a family business, so no formulaic corporate food here - just a friendly place with delicious food.”
“Our first impression driving up was that we were about to have a unique and memorable experience at The Tavern. The food did not disappoint and the service at our table was excellent. The only criticism I would give is when we walked in we had a few minutes to wait for our table and we felt like we were outsiders at the bar. We were going to get a drink and sit by the fire but it took awhile for the bartender to stop talking to what appeared to be regulars and wait on us. We did finally get drinks and sat down. The other thing that really struck us was how the decor seemed like an afterthought and the items looked like they were picked up at a yard sale for out dated restaurants. I pictured since it is an old rustic cabin it would be decorated with similar decor. Our table wobbled terribly and was very small and the chairs were stained and uncomfortable at the fireplace with a hodgepodge of mismatched cabinets packed in around them. We will probably return for the excellent food sometime but for the price it was not the atmosphere I would have expected.”
“We ordered the Kitchen Sink pizza. A mouth watering gourmet masterpiece! Best pizza I have ever eaten! Good atmosphere, good music, and sports on the television.”
“We did a girls weekend and went here as it was close to our vrbo. AMAZING food ( with generous portions) and super tasty margaritas(more triple sec flavored as opposed to lime). Very clean and chill atmosphere. Leftovers are even better on day 2. It's well worth the drive, loved it!”
“Quick service, clean place, and the staff is very nice. Food was delicious and price was great. The updated location is great for a nice lake view. We will definitely be back! The blueberry pancakes were AMAZING!”
“Cold drinks, great service and top notch food. If you are a fan of 80's and 90's you will also love the decor! Thank you for taking care of our crew!Parking: Lots of spots, easily accessible from parking spot to the front door.Kid-friendliness: My 9 and 12 year olds loved the food and arcade selection.Wheelchair accessibility: Pictures posted of the front door entry. Good accessibility. Well done.”
“Very good Mexican food, we really enjoy Don Julio's in Carmelita's' going to give them a call and see if they're open on this extreme chilly day”
“After walking in and startling Rachael, We had a great time and fun with all the employees. Wonderful service everytime we go in. Highly recommend and enjoy the time.”
“They have fantastic service and food! And I had amazing luck on my bday with the games in there!!Parking: It doesn't seem like there's many parking spaces at first glance but there's actually extra parking in the lot adjacent to it! It's just a little tricky right in front of the building.Kid-friendliness: Depending upon preferences, I would certainly feel comfortable taking any of my children or grand babies in there to dine!Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely accessible”
“It was a warm Sunday in February, and the place was hopping. I am sure that in winter, they were not planning on the turnout that they had. This is my favorite little bar and grill at the lake. Was just too busy for the wait staff to keep up. Not necessarily their fault.”
“Went on a Sunday. The four stars instead of three stars is really for our server Maddi who was attentive. We ordered a half order of nachos for an appetizer. There was barely ANY chicken and barely any of their cheese sauce on them. They were OK but when I inquired about extra sauce they said it would be an extra $6!!!!! Then our actual dinner orders came out. My shrimp and cajun potatoes were very good. Side salad was just alright. My friend ordered the shrimp BLT. He said it was good but again, they shorted him on the sauce. Would not order the nachos again simply because there was basically no chicken or sauce on them. Would advise on them being a little more generous on, at the very least, the sauces.”
“My wife and I stopped in for the first time last Tuesday. And it happened to be the first night of game night. They invites us to play and we had a total blast. We plan on coming here quite often. Bethany and Tiffy are awesome!!!”
“Absolutely love this place... Service was slow but worth waiting for ?Parking: Parking lot was very crowded especially with the Drive-Thru... It was hard finding a parking space that you didn't get stuck in because of the drive thru”
“We go every morning we are at the lake!! Always friendly service. Great coffee! The best part they have wonderful gluten free and dairy free donuts!! The regular ones are great too. Support local!!!”
“If you get to this little town, go to Val's. They have great food and friendly people. Pancakes are huge!! Boyfriend and I shared one and could barely finish.”
“Shells is by far one of the best Italian food restaurants I have ever experienced at the lake before. It is a must try out! Completely impressed with how good this experience was! Loved the homemade sauces, and homemade Italian dressing is also a must try! The garlic bread was perfect! Had two apps, 4 full dinners and had a 12 inch pizza to go, bought an extra 16 oz to go of the Alfredo sauce all for $100. Met the owner before we left and she shared her story and I can tell you that you will be glad you tried this restaurant and will want to go back again and again! Wow! Worth the drive from gravois mills to get here!!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for my daughter! Love this!”
“Very good service and I had no reaction to it so I will be going back. They took the time to make sure it was safe for me to eat since im allergic to chocolate. Thank ”
“We enjoy this hidden gem every time we go. Fun atmosphere. Fantastic food that is locally sourced. Missouri wines, whiskeys and various libations. The handrolled pasta is amazing. Sarah is a treasure. Our waiter Addison was new but still did a great job. Don't miss Capone's if your anywhere near the Lake of the Ozarks area.”
“We were there for a private event, but we attended with people who considered it one of their favorites in the area. The lady that kept everything together was terrific. She handled the food and the bar and bused tables. Two thumbs up.”
“Great atmosphere, our waitress was excellent. The food was good, not anything mind blowing. Only 2 complaints, the Mahi Mahi fish taco was a little dry and the shrimp was cut into tiny peices in my chimichunga (bad form ;( ). Other then that, we definitely will eat there again, freshest chips I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant ?!”
“The bartenders are wonderful! Caitlyn and Adelle are so attentive and kind. They have provided friendly and speedy customer service. Making sure all my food and drink needs are taken care of promptly.”
