Skippy's Route 66 Restaurant "Good Food For Good People"

My family and I are starting to miss skippy it's not the same without him. I had a margarita tonight and it was horrible. I told franny light on tequila and that's literally all I tasted. I literally left a full glass. I wish we could pick are servers. I normally don't complain but, it's getting old.

Really does live up to their slogan. Good food for good people.

This all-American bar & grille is a wonderful fixture just off of interstate on old Route 66. The server was great and very considerate. Food was prepared perfectly. My kids loved their pizza.

Came in at 815 and was told we could not get food because they close at 9. But they did offer us alcohol, so there you go.

I often forget about this little gem that’s only about 30 minutes from my home. You enter this establishment and you’re almost always greeted by the owner Skippy sitting at the bar. This is rare for a lot of businesses nowadays and it gives you the feeling that you’re just having dinner at a friend’s house. The servers are also very friendly and do an exceptional job. This is definitely a bar setting but without the negative things that typically come with it. It has tables in the dining area and I believe they open up the patio during rush hours. The real draw is the food. Every time I go it’s always very good. This last visit I had the chicken dinner which I never tried before and wow it’s definitely top 5 in taste and quality. It blows the main chains out of the water. I definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in the area. The prices are fair and for what you get I’d even say it’s extremely cheap for what you actually get. Stop by and say hi to Skippy you won’t regret it.

First time to Skippy's, will definitely be back. Food was delicious and waitress was quick and courteous.

What a perfect location just off the exit! My family and I frequent often. GREAT food and better people. I highly recommend this restaurant!
