“Place is very clean and well kept. The owner (I think) was our server and she was great at recommending specials, telling us different things about the food and area. Had a pleasant talk.

The food...Well, I was talked into the house made fried chicken. Warned that it takes a bit due to fresh frying from scratch. No issues there. When it came out I was a bit surprised, maybe even disappointed that it was cornmeal breading. I typically dont like cornmeal breading even on fish, let alone chicken. BUT IT WORKS SO WELL. This may have been the BEST fried chicken ive ever had. It was hot and fresh, and that breading...didn't fall off the meat, but came off with a nice bite. Great crunch but not hard, good flavor, a d held all the perfect level of juiciness into the meat.

Also, the Pulled pork sandwich was great. Good flavor without overbearing sauce on a fresh soft rolls.

Hot fries and some solid homemade coleslaw to top it. Well worth the stop.”

“Our server was supposed to be a lady by the name of Danielle, however other than writing our order she did nothing. But the other waiter Evan was absolutely fantastic. That young man is a rockstar, and the website leaves me nowhere to inform upper management of how well this gentleman did, but I cannot overstate the job proformence he did, bussing every table in a timely manner, taking care of every guest, you name it this guy did it. The lady who *should* have done all this, no where to be seen other than take the order and disappear. She even took a tip off a table I saw Evan work, so I personally handed him his tip to ensure he was well rewarded for his efforts. Evan if you see this, please be proud of yourself you are an extremely polite and professional, well done and I hope you get the rewards for doing such a great job. Yall if you want taken care of make sure Evan is your waiter, and tip him well. Thanks again Evan!”

“Was coming to see family in Salem mo.decide to stop here and eat on our way home.The worst bbq I ever ate ordered pork steak was so tough could not eat no flavor.Was not smoked didn't look like pork steaks I can smoke better bbq at home.I don't know how they say they are so good.Never will stop there again never smelled smoker on outside.Nasty.....don't waste your time stopping there.Even bbq sauces were nasty tasting”
