This was my first time at Pepper Jax Grill. I love a good cheesesteak, and have been looking for one in Kansas City.I had the famous Philly steak and added a few things to mine like jalapeños, mushrooms and onions. It's probably sacrilegious, but I also added some tomatoes because they were in season and beautiful. I did not try the fries, but they have Miss Vickies chips, which are excellent. The folks working here are awesome. They were very helpful and kind in guiding me through the menu. The sandwich itself is OK. The bread is not as soft as it should be for a Philly. The meat looked like ribeye when they put it on the grill, but the quality is a little low, I think.The music mix on the overhead speakers is very eclectic, and I enjoyed it.

This was my first time here, I was pleasantly surprised. The steak was very tender, the veggies were fresh and the bathroom was clean.

I had great food and customer service from Joe and Brianna. I wasn’t really sure about what to order, so Joe suggested the original Philly and it did not disappoint. I sure wish I would’ve taken a picture but you guys are just going to have to go and see for yourselves!
We started out first in line. The person cooking had a call in order. The person prepared two sandwiches at a time several times while we watched. There was a line forming behind us. We ended up leaving after waiting 15 minutes. The cashier and the other person were standing around.

The staff they have here right now is sooo friendly they greet me very fast every time always a smile the manager bobby is on top of it, he knows what he is doing this staff works hard and fast they get you in and out they know my order every time food always fresh and stocked.Love my pork bowl! ?

It's rare I go into a fast-food restaurant and encounter a staff as engaged and as friendly as I just experienced at this location. I found it to be a very refreshing change of pace, and the food was as good as I had anticipated. I'll definitely make a point to visit here again.

We got carry out last night after we had a bad experience at another restaurant. The female worker was great, friendly, thorough and overall gave us a great experience.The food was great(a Philly, a bowl and fries)

I used to love coming here often but with inflation all their prices are about 10-20% more for equivalent food at another fast food place. I don't even get the fries anymore since the sandwich is over $10 by itself not to mention over $2 to $3 just for a drink. The service has also somewhat slowed down if there are others in front of you which isn't often due to it not having many customers.
