Great food. I ate there twice in 1 week! The spinach bacon quiche is great. It was a busy place at lunchtime but the atmosphere is relaxed and not stuffy at all.

I live 1/2 hour away, but the drive is worth it!! Huey's food is delicious and healthy! My favorite is the breakfast quiche.
I love huey's so much! Excellent breakfast, brunch and lunch food, all for a great price. The drink options are also great, get an espresso variation or a cup of drip coffee, a soft drink or hot cocoa. The shop itself is in a historic building in liberty square.

Huey's is always consistent, & fairly priced. I love the breakfast bisquit sandwich!
Finest breakfast in the Northland. As others have said, incredible biscuits and a real first-rate omelet. Reasonably priced all-around, and has a real diner-type feel inside. Service was quick despite the busy hour, and so polite and helpful. Definitely going back.

Meh...I wanted to try a Mom and Pop breakfast place after I finished some business in Liberty. I did a search and picked Huey's based on reviews. I guess it doesn't take much to impress the locals.
We went in and walked up to the counter so we could read the menu on the chalkboard and order. We paid and pre-tipped before getting any service. I'm always amazed at places that are setup this way.
Other reviews raved about their biscuits and gravy so I had to try it and ordered a half order, 2 buttermilk pancakes and 2 eggs over medium and a vanilla latte. My wife ordered the American breakfast platter.
Our lattes arrived and they were good; the girl was nice.
Several people brought our food out and they were pleasant. The small biscuit had ample sausage gravy was just ok, the over medium eggs were over easy and the buttermilk pancakes were seriously rubber and coldish the 2 pats of butter were frozen and the syrup was cold. I don't believe I have ever seen bacon any thinner than what was on the American breakfast.
Nobody came back to check on how the food was or clear any plates (why should they, they were already tipped 20% for doing nothing more than dropping plates off and they were all sitting down in the both adjoining ours). My wife felt she was going to sneeze and went to the restroom and there was no TP. She let the counter girl know (who was still sitting down) and she didn't get up to address the issue - too busy with her Carhartt boyfriend.
I generally will not leave a review if I don't have anything nice to say but I walked out feeling that I had been gypped. Close to $60 for 2 people and blah.
The menu on Google is pictures and must be old because the prices are a couple $ more.
I wished that I had gone to Big Biscuit instead for a real order of biscuits and gravy.
It was a little after 12:00 so maybe the breakfast cook had already gone home for the day. Save your $$$ and your tummy and go elsewhere.
Expensive and you have to order at the counter. Disappointed
I live in Lees Summit, but was staying with a friend at an Airbnb when she came to visit. When I googled breakfast places near the Airbnb, this was the first one that popped up so we went with it.
It’s a cute little hole in the wall diner, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and the menu was pretty extensive, especially for a small place. We both got the traditional platters and my wife ordered the biscuits and gravy because there was a Google review that they were a must order! I didn’t get a picture of any of it because we were too hungry but still wanted to review.
My eggs (over medium) were perfect.
My friend’s eggs (sunny side up) were also perfect.
She ordered hashbrowns which looked super crispy.
I ordered the breakfast potatoes which were seasoned perfectly!
Bacon was great. Toast was great.
My wife’s biscuits and gravy were perfect. The gravy is brown-ish, not white, so that’s how you know it’s going to be good. It was also seasoned perfectly and there was the perfect amount of meat mixed in.
All in all, I would definitely make the trip back here to try other things on the menu and would recommend checking it out!

Above good, below great. It’s a little pricey, but it’s hard to find something cheaper AND as good. Rueben was very enjoyable; not too much 1000 Island and a fair portion of meat, plus real Swiss. Panni press finish made it fun. Coleslaw was very, very “meh”. Really nothing to it and needed salt. Staff was fine. I ordered first and got my sandwich last. Not a big deal, understandable but annoying. That particular store has been many things over the years and I think it would be really beneficial to have a professional designer take a look and do some magic. It’s a lovely venue, just needs some tying together and tightening up.
TLDR; not bad, I’d try again.

We had breakfast there and the food was good, however the regular and decaf coffee were very weak. Maybe an espresso would have been better. We're used to more flavorful coffee with our breakfast.

Food was ok. My egg burrito was not warm. The biscuit in the biscuits and gravy was good--tasted homemade, however the sausage gravy was very peppery. The coffee tasted like water--my husband who rarely drinks coffee said it did not taste like coffee at all--and a regular coffee was served in a side canteen which the coffee was not warm at all.
