Took my daughter there 10/31/24. I’ve never experienced the amazing outstanding hospitality anywhere like this place the whole staff was phenomenal along with the food if I could give them 1000 stars I would Extremely friendly clean and the food is outstanding along with fountain machine this is our go to food place Thank you

We discovered this chain a few years ago and try to visit each time we're in STL. The calzones are unique. We had the Mac and Cheese one, a spicy buffalo one, a meat one, and the Carmen. All were excellent.
Kid-friendliness: Not really a kids menu, but you can build a calzone for kids to share.

I visited Sauce on the Side for my granddaughter’s birthday, and it was fantastic! The salad was fresh, and absolutely delicious, packed with flavor. The calzone was massive, with a perfect crust and tasty fillings. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy, making it a great spot for both family gatherings and casual dining. I’ll definitely be coming back soon, Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a fun experience.

Had to update my rating and knock off a few stars from the service we received over the past two visits. It's pretty much just one worker, but when it's only them on the front end it's not pleasant to dine in. Not one thank you, your welcome or smile. Just mono tone yeps and okays. It felt like it was a burden to take our order so this employee could continue watching the TV. If we see it's only them on the front end again we'll just find a place where we feel welcomed.
It's a shame as the service used to be great and we always enjoy the food.
