Black Market Barbeque

Although I no longer live in Missouri, the food still tastes just as incredible as it did 10 years ago. This is hands down some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had — and that says a lot, considering how many states and countries I’ve visited. Thank you for another delicious meal!

By far the best restaurant in Moberly. The ribs are always juicy and fall right off the bone. The sauces are delicious as well.

Olde times atmosphere with license tags, records and photos. Friendly efficient staff, family owned and managed.

We had the burnt end sandwich (5 stars) with slaw (ordered extra to go-it may not be for everyone as it is different but we liked it), Mac and cheese and baked beans. All were good. I suspect I’ll be back in the future.

We were headed to Omaha and traffic on I 70 was full of drivers that wanted to go 72 mph in the passing lane. I had to get off to save my sanity. Hyway 63 and hyway 36 were just what I needed along with this great food to save my sanity. Maybe I was just “hangry”!

Just ordered a rub meal for two. When we got home to enjoy our meal we discovered the ribs were completely dry with little meat. They were so dry I guarantee they were not cooked today. The sides were small and we were given one piece cornbread to split between the two of us. For 35 dollars I am beyond disappointed. My wife and I used to frequent this place, but after this experience no more. A shame that a local establishment serves food like this. Shame on you for putting this garbage.

I normally don’t write bad reviews, I just don’t go back. Brisket sandwich was ok. Turkey meal was very tough. Sides had a lot to be desired. Let’s just say at $65 for two people we could have driven 20 miles in any direction and had a great meal. Lesson learned.

This place may not be big and fancy, but man oh man it's DELICIOUS!!! Food came out quick, and staff was very friendly!! We just happened on it on our way through the town
