Amazing flavors! Delightful staff! Anna and Carolyn are the best! Music was a bit too loud, we asked if they could turn it down and it was turned down. We appreciated it. I wish we were not by the entrance-it was distracting to see people walking in and out. Everything was spectacular!

Price was almost $300 for two people. My soup was cold and steaks were pre-cooked. It was tender but lukewarm. Not worth the price or hype. Servers were excellent, just food was subpar.

The steak was cooked to perfection and all sides were very good. It is rather expensive and should be saved for a special occasion. I will go back.

Disappointed on Our 21st Anniversary – Not Worth the Hype or the Price

My wife and I were genuinely excited to celebrate our 21st anniversary at Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse in Harrah’s Kansas City. We chose this spot for its reputation and exclusivity, expecting a memorable culinary experience. Unfortunately, while the service was excellent, the food was shockingly subpar—especially given the price point.

We weren’t deterred by the cost—it was a special occasion—but we were stunned by how underwhelming the food was. The $69.95 steak we ordered to share (the cheapest on the menu) was large enough for two, but tasted like something you’d get at a seafood restaurant trying to serve steak as an afterthought. Bland seasoning, no depth of flavor, and certainly not worthy of a steakhouse bearing Gordon Ramsay’s name.

The pork belly appetizer was another letdown. My wife usually enjoys pork belly at Asian restaurants—rich, savory, and indulgent. This version looked like a dessert and tasted worse than it looked. After two bites, she convinced me to try it, and I regretted it immediately. All I could think about was the “belly” part, and not in a good way.

As for the lobster bisque, the presentation was clever but impractical. They poured hot bisque over chilled lobster, which quickly cooled the soup to lukewarm. It felt like eating soup over an ice cube—rushed and unsatisfying.

We joked about the $99.95 Booth Creek Wagyu from Manhattan, KS, thinking we’d come all the way from Manhattan to KC for something different. In hindsight, we should’ve stuck with what we know. Even the Japanese Wagyu at $39.95 per ounce (with a 3 oz minimum) felt more like a math problem than a meal.

For $250, we could’ve had a far more enjoyable and flavorful experience elsewhere. I rarely write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others: if Gordon Ramsay himself did an undercover visit here, I suspect he’d either shut it down or overhaul the kitchen entirely.

WE LOVED SELMA - she was AWESOME - funny, quick, kind, and helpful. It made our dining experience all the more delightful! She was more than GREAT! I especially loved my birthday card and the treat of chocolates. She treated us so well! The atmosphere was awesome - the food was perfect and our group would gladly encourage our friends and family, and strangers on the street to go to GORDON RAMSEY's Steakhouse. Not going to lie - we were hoping that the dude would show up and cuss out our table...but to no avail :)

I dined there last evening and the service was impeccable. It has a very nice atmosphere and is welcoming. I ordered the 8 ounce filet and the 4 ounce butter poached lobster tail. First the bread and butter was outstanding. I could probably make a dinner out of that it was so good. The steak was also delicious and prepared correctly. It is with the lobster tail I was very disappointed. It had no flavor whatsoever and was crunchy/chewy in half of the lobster pieces. I was not happy to pay $25 for a 4 ounce tail that was not good at all. I made myself eat it due to the cost but I should have just sent it back. Overall the dinner was good but I could have gone to a cheaper steakhouse, paid less, and had a better dinner. Not sure I will be back.

Normally I would give 5 stars because of service and food. However I was disappointed with our food this time. My beef Wellington was cold and soggy, potato purée was cold and not very good, and the Mac and cheese seemed like it was microwaved. On the plus side my kids steaks were very good and our Brussel sprouts side were very good. We had a chocolate tart and sorbet for dessert that were very good.

Excellent meal and service as expected at a Gordon Ramsay establishment. Steaks were perfect as were appetizers. Staff was attentive.

I went here for my 21st birthday. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the decor was nice. Would go back.

Our experience is always very good. Only disappointed that my steak was cooked to perfection and my husband's was rare when he ordered medium. Overall— everything else was really good!

Birthday dinner, great food, service and atmosphere. Had the 16oz KC Strip & grilled shrimp. Cooked to perfection in my eyes. Sticky Toffee for desert, YUM! Received lots of attention from staff and patrons. Highly recommend for that special occasion.

Food was not at all worth the price. The beef wellington was soggy. Service was rude. Atmosphere was a bunch of loud casino people. We spent around $500 mind you we did get a bottle of wine which was the best part of the meal.

Ethan, our server, was fantastic—very personable and attentive, and the co-server did a great job as well. The service really stood out and made the evening enjoyable. The food, while good, didn't quite reach the top-tier level I was expecting from a Gordon Ramsay steakhouse, especially compared to the high bar set by some of the best spots in Kansas City. Overall, it was a nice experience, but the service definitely outshined the meal.
