The ice cream truck was the COOLEST addition to our wedding reception 6/27/25 at the Abbott! Our guests loved it. The ice cream was delicious, and the variety of flavors was great. The service was top-notch - the staff were friendly, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly. It was a wonderful surprise for our guests, and it added a playful touch to the day. Best milkshake i ever had !! My favorite ice cream is butter pecan and to find it in milkshake is amazing I added marshmallow fluff and chocolate sprinkles try it out for your self simple but sooo good ❤️

In mid-Oct ‘24 it looks to be the same menu as July of ‘24. Got the oatmeal cookie dairy-free option and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. Both the spoons and straws change colors in the cold ice cream.

First off, if you haven't been to the Iron District, you need to go. It's the absolute cutest area and perfect for a group of friends.
But let's get to the ice cream. There are SO MANY flavors to choose from and all the toppings you could want. I love that it comes with two toppings and two sauces. They have a really unique monster sandwich that cook and press right there on the spot.
The ice cream is so flavorful and cream and just chuck full of goodies. I'm pretty partial to another local ice cream shop in KC, but Melt Box might just be my new favorite ?
I got a cookie dough ice cream with chocolate drizzle over it- it’s really good, not too sweet (which is my favorite). Good atmosphere for families with kids as well.

Love the location! Inside the iron district you can get food/drinks from multiple vendors. Plenty of picnic benches to eat at under shaded umbrellas. In the corner of the out door area is a small stage where there occasionally performers during busier times.
The ice cream was delicious and the menu had unique items that were also delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting some ice cream.

I love that Meltbox seems to always have 2-3 vegan options and they're creative, such as chocolate chip oatmeal cookie (think chocolate chip cookie dough meets snicker doodle) and strawberry hibiscus. I do wish they had at least one stable vegan option though rather than a surprise every time.
