Scimeca’s Retail Market & Deli

The chicken parm sandwich and Italian steak parm sandwich-both delicious. Did some shopping as well- some authentic Italian ingredients and premade for those of us not as gifted!! Fun place to eat in.

Must have caught this place on a bad day nothing seemed fresh or warm, they chould at least stir the sides or freshen it up a bit the fried chicken patty’s were cold, only strong flavors i got where frim the chips. Came here from my managers recommendation, what i thought i was going to get was some strong flavors. Sorry.

I can appreciate a small business. My family and I found the authentic Scimeca’s store on a whim two weeks ago; I am the biggest Scimeca sausage fan. The sausage was not char grilled like you may have experienced at all typical stand and is frozen from the factory. Unfortunately, the lunch choices that I chose did not hit the spot for me — nothing wrong with the food, but also nothing that stood out and it (unexpectedly) did not meet the standard that I have come to know from Scimeca’s. It could be that I’m just picky as a result of my Italian heritage.

I’m very sad to write this with you as I don’t want knock a small business, but unfortunately, my family and I won’t be seeking out the store again. I’m certainly had a lot going on that day and you never know what people are experiencing in their personal lives; however, the service was mediocre. I did confirm that I was ordering from the owner, as she stated that her brother runs the factory.

I wish all the best to you and your family and I hope that if I ever visit the store again, I can rewrite this with glowing accolades.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Scimeca’s is an authentic Italian Deli with great tasting food. The olive salad is fantastic! If you haven’t been here to eat, you should go!

Very cute little deli and lunch spot in NKC. The sausage they sell is the best in town. We got the 1935 and the Ruben and they both were great sandwiches. We came on a Saturday so It was not as busy as I would expect during the work week.
We also had the olive salad it was very good.

IYKYK. Scimeca's is a staple in KC. Best Italian sausage around in my opinion. This market and deli is in North Kansas city. Nice lunch specials served daily. Today I had the Itialian beef. It was perfection. My wife had the Italian steak. It was very good as well.

Nice place to grab a lunch and pick up a few Italian essentials while you're there.

Ate here for the first time, today. Very clean and cozy, reasonable prices, everyone was nice and the best meatball sub I've had in years.

I've been visiting NKC most my life and never noticed this Gem.
Stopped in for a sandwich and ended up taking 3 more things to go.
