Smokin' Guns BBQ Rubs and Sauces

My dad and husband wanted to go here because they saw it in diners, drive-in's & dives. The place was dead, looked mediocre as well as the food. Needless to say we didn't stop by on our way back through.

Kid-friendliness: No poorly behaved kids today.
The sides were all great surpassing some other bbq houses. The beef was good but not great. Excellent serving sizes. Will go back and try the pork.

Service was great, our waitress was very attentive & helpful. Food came out pretty quick but was not what I expected. We ordered the smoked wings and the Triple D platter. I think it was cooked in the oven first and flash smoked. It lack flavor. Either way though I was very disappointed with the food.

Like a lot of others I saw this place in Triple D…Don’t let Guy fool you…it’s terrible!!!!

Started with the mushrooms for an appetizer and they were burnt to a point of not being edible. The burnt ends weren’t much better…chewy and felt like they were left over from last week.

They are only getting a second star because our server was very nice.

Won’t be back!

Everything we had was so good and the staff were super nice and treated us like old friends right when we walked in on our first visit. Recommend!

Meat was cooked well, but no flavor what so ever. Will not be returning.

I had low expectations for this joint as it was recommended to me by a co-worker with pretty bad taste. I tried it anyways and boy was I surprised. This was the best pulled pork I've had and I've lived in KC long enough to try most all of the BBQ.

I went there for dinner earlier tonight and had such a great experience there. The service was on point, the drinks we ordered were spot on, and the sampler plate was outstanding. The burnt ends were some of the best I have had. Good flavor, no fat, and melted in my mouth. Hot fresh steak fries, juicy turkey and brisket. And to top it all off, the cornbread was warm, sweet, and moist. Couldn't have asked for a better dinner. And the price was great too. I recommend this place to anyone wanting good quality bbq, good atmosphere, and great prices. Thank you.

Great place and amazing BBQ. Been many times...funny, gf is not from here and we went to get covid "shots" and I said we're going to "smokin'n guns" after...she laughed and said,"we just got shots and u want to go shoot guns?" Lol...gosh did she not know some great KC bbq!

Try it for yourself but to me for the price I was expecting more. The food was actually good.

We've been long time eaters at this restaurant. It seems like it was better at the first place. We visited again last week and the food was less than what we remember. It was disappointing because it was closer to home and North of the river. They had styrofoam plates and cheap plastic cutlery. It was mostly empty on a Friday evening which probably represents the decline in quality of food.

This is awesome BBQ. I had the pulled pork and it was so tender. The cheesy potatoes are really good too. I highly recommend you to give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
