Went to Steak and Shake because my husband remembered this restaurant from his childhood in Illinois. Did not disappoint his memories. Prices here are very low!! We had Chili Mac and soda and got out for a bit over $20. Oh! The tallow fries are delish -> new memory!

The food was delicious and the place had a nice atmosphere. Our order was taken at our table. The waitress was very nice but seemed to be intoxicated. She forgot a few things, which isn't a big deal at all, but she was very flighty and all over the place. Other than that it's a very nice place!

3 piece chicken tender, a large fry, a mint shake with no oreos in it. Take pepper, salt, and the steakburger seasoning and pour generously on the fries. Flip the basket over onto the chicken basket and shake firmly. Put extra seasonings on top and consume. It's like 10 bucks if you go during happy hour for the half price shake and it's damn good.

Truly, this place is the higher tier of fast food restaurants. Not quite as good as a diner or anything,...
