Neat place! Great music! Our dark haired bartender was very nice and accomodating. The other bartender rudest guy I've ever heard when a group of 12 came in to support your business. You cussed us and called us a bunch of turds among other things upon entering your establisment, I'm sure you'll remember .....just a great buch of people trying to have fun and celebrate our friends birthday.
I’ve come here the past couple months for the BBQ with my family. I learned to dance at a very modern line dancing club, but several ladies here helped me learn how to do several dances in their style, and the men taught me how to two-step and more. Everyone here treats each other like family. The food is phenomenal. It is a more mature crowd on these days, but I don’t mind at all as they’ve all been very nice and taught me new dances and have even pointed out new places to try dancing and other nights to try Stovalls with a younger crowd. I plan on making this at least monthly go-to!

Reminds of the Blues Brothers movie minus the chicken wire. This place is a cherished piece of Americana but if you want to pop in for just a beer(coming from Purina to the Wildwood hotel) and don't feel like paying the paying a $5 cover ..... 4 stars

Best little CW honky tonk outside of town - don’t tell your friends, it’s a secret and the wifi doesn’t work so whatever happens at Stovalls, stays at Stovalls… Girls learn to dance on Thursdays and get their heels up Friday and Saturday.
This place used to be a fun night out with regulars or a familiar face and a good time. Went there a couple weeks ago and the owner, who I don’t remember or maybe just never had a run in with (Steve- double chin, Asian eyes/coke bottle glasses, patchy beard, dead bottom tooth, c cup chest, usually in a hat) and let me tell ya, if you never met a man with LDE he’s the one…will treat customers like the skid mark he is. Never had such a rude encounter with a business let alone a manager/owner. What a waste of 300 pounds.

Don’t go, stay in your car and continue east on Manchester to more welcoming local bars and restaurants. The manager/bartender Steve is rude, crude, aggressive and not deserving of anyone’s business/patronage.

They closed an hour early. We asked why they were closing early and the women behind the bar said “go back to chesterfield” and swore at us?????? We just wanted to know what was going on and why they were closing early. One of our party members asked them why they were being so rude about it and apologized and they basically just told us to get out. It was super bizarre. We made it maybe 5 minutes in total. Will NOT be going back

Extremely rude bartenders that didn’t want to serve us “yuppys” from “Clayton.” We grew up in the area, recommend not going here and instead go support other local bars.

The owner of this establishment is extremely rude. He's obviously in the wrong industry and should be an accountant instead. Because of this, I would not return to support him.Bar owners should be hospitable and always above and beyond gracious to their guests. He missed this part in his training I guess. Recommendation for him, sell the bar and get into an industry you enjoy. Simple as that.

The owner of this establishment is extremely rude and talks to you like you’re dumb.Stayed in Wildwood for the sole purpose of going line dancing after a concert in St Louis. My friend and I line dance in Iowa, and wanted to check out a new spot. Thought this place would be fun. Google stayed they closed at 7:30, I Facebook messaged the establishment asking if they were open or closed cause Facebook said they were open til 1:30. I got a response saying “we are open” I get there around 11:40 and find a parking spot, and the guy outside who claimed to be the owner said “rule of thumb if the lights are off it’s closed” I told him I had messaged the Facebook page, and he said “ well I’m the owner and it’s closed” talked to me like I was stupid for 5 minutes. Even if you are closed, you’re the owner of the establishment and the way you talk to people is enough to tell all the line dancers I know in and out of Iowa to never visit your establishment.Good riddance

Owner is rude. They lie about their hours, or don’t like to welcome anyone that isn’t local.
We always have to much fun there. Kate the bartender is great and the guy behind the bar met me 10miles away to give me my credit card back that I forgot there ? he wouldn't even except a tip. Thanks you
