The worst cashew chicken I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time. It’s overpriced too.

Our family has enjoyed Yen Ching for 29 years but have not dined recently. Today we ordered Moo Shu Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Imperial Chicken. The Moo Shu had an unusual taste and the meat was shredded so I didn't recognize it as chicken. I didn't enjoy the taste. The Crab Rangoon was small and scrunched together. Tasted fine. It was our first time to try Imperial Chicken which had unexpected seasonings. Tasted more Indian or Thai?? I'm wondering if there is new ownership or new cooks and recipes. Just all unexpected tonight. Im unhappy we spent quite a lot for the food and 1/2 of both entrees are going in the trash.

It’s a good place to go if someone else is buying. It’s a little pricy.

Family ordered 3 chicken dishes with fried rice for carry out. Nearly broke our jaws trying to gnaw through the poultry, which was decently sauced and seasoned, but was so tough that we had to toss it. At the absurd price for such simple dishes, we will not be returning.

The items that are crispy like crab rangoon, crispy chicken, and crispy beef are over crispy.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had referring to the sesame chicken threw most of it away
All around average old style Chinese restaurant in a city with a large variety of excellent Asian restaurants.

Came in not knowing what to order, asked for a recommendation that was spicy but also savory. They recommended the teriyaki chicken. It was delicious, also a very big portion (picture is about 1/3 of the total food)
Extremely good customer service throughout my dining experience.
Really fast service as well

A family favorite for quite literally my entire life. The space has been updated some, but the food hasn't changed much-- and that is a wonderful thing! Always great service too.

Sub par. Not worth the price. Can't substitute for fried rice unless you pay $15 for a whole serving. Just go to panda express
Best Chinese food in St. Louis! Been advised customers for 28 years!!! Raise my six boys on special occasions at this one restaurant.

I have never been so disappointed ☹️ I have heard such amazing things about this restaurant, decided to place a to-go order, we ordered Crab Rangoon, potstickers, fried rice, lomein and cashew chicken.
First disappointment was that for 5 items our total was 90.00, they told us 45 minute wait to pick up, we picked up and smelled good and that was the last of the good- the potstickers were so over done and chewy, the crab Rangoon was hard as a rock and was only cream cheese and maybe a smidge of crab but no seasoning no flavor and were cold and hard, the cashew chicken was so dry and sticky like it had been sitting there for hours, it was painful to chew it was so hard. The only good thing was the rice and Lo mein.
I can’t believe it was 90 dollars and then for everything to be absolutely terrible and over done was just extremely upsetting and disappointing.
Be ware might be better dinning in but take out is an absolute NO.
