I recently stayed in the hotel. it was so disappointing and dirty. Check the coffee maker before using. Mine has mold in it. I wouldn't touch the phone because it was so gross. The floor was so sticky and dirty, I had to throw my socks away. After two nights, I was happy to leave. Room service starts at noon. Why? They advertise Spa. Nope, not available. The smell of smoke made me feel nasty. I will never stay there again. After complaining to management, the comp me a whole $24.

We needed a room last minute on a Saturday night and took a chance on getting a comped room. We called at 5:30 and they had one available we were at a kids sporting event and would have been checking in around 9. At 8:20 we get a notification the room is cancelled. We called immediately and basically since we were not there by 8:30 they cancelled it. We were 10 min away from the hotel. Magically they already booked the room, mind you we called within a minute of the notification. Nothing they can do they say. Then they say you should not use the call center, when that’s the number they give you to call. We had a room a couple months ago and again it was comped however at check in we owed $18. I said so much for a “free” nights stay. They told us they had to get their money somehow. Then told us it was a fee from calling the call center. We get comp rooms all over KS, MO & OK and Argosy is the only place we have ever had to pay ANYTHING for a “free” room. They just lost our business and the crap ton of money we lose there every time we stay.

Had a room booked and went to the casino…got an email at 8:50pm saying our room was cancelled (even though we had been down in the casino gambling since 7pm) Went to front desk and they said they cancel rooms who don’t check in by 8:30pm and they couldn’t do anything for me because now everything is sold out. WTF. So you’re telling me I spent hundreds on machines, several drinks, and now my room is cancelled? Total BS. I will never book a room here again.

My sandwich had sauce on it after I said no sauce. When I took it back I received a pork tenderloin half the size of the one I had the first time. And the sweet potatoes fries were not done at all.

Waiter was rude and very condescending. He seemed more interested in walking around and appearing busy rather than actually serving us. My date, a very picky eater, actually enjoyed her meal until it was time to leave when she asked for a to go box and found a hair. When informed, our waiter seemed to have cared less and seemed excited that we were leaving. Won't be back but chances are they don't care.

One of the places that I had on the want to go list on Google maps that was close to E.H. young riverfront Park that is located inside Argosy casino hotel that it is a small place that's just more like a bar someplace to get a drink that is actually an Argosy and something to eat that I had a double bacon smashburger and it was all right mostly it's a double burger with fan patties and the fries there are fine and the server seems like she's doing her job fine and not anything to hype about.

Kid-friendliness: Mostly the place is a bar that it's not really anything I think a mother would recommend to take their kids to.

As an owner we visit many Penn Properties this was our 3rd visit here in the past few years and it was terrible. Dust everywhere in our suite, hair in bathtub but the restaurants service was terrible. Then to top it off the VIP bar bartender was rude and not welcoming even the locals were complaining about the bar which is sad. We expected so much more we walked out of the journey restaurant after 30 min with no service and departed a day early. Zero stars!

I've stayed here probably 9 or 10 times over the past several years and always enjoyed it. The rooms are pricey but the showers are amazing and the rooms have been great. I stayed here over the weekend and unfortunately had a much different experience. I confirmed multiple times that they did in fact have WiFi as I needed it for some work things. I get into the room and of course it won't work. We attempted on 3 different devices and never could get it to work. The desk clerks did nothing to help or to troubleshoot. I don't know if because we were clear to the back on the 5th floor that we were too far from the router but if you say you have wifi, then it should work. I would not have booked a room if I'd known it wasn't functioning. Then, the room was dirty. I was shocked as I've never had a bad experience here. The hotel itself is showing a lot of wear and tear and only 1 out of 3 elevators were working during our stay. all in all, I was disappointed. For a $60 room I could have overlooked it . . .but not for a $200+ room. It used to be my favorite place to stay in Kansas City and at this rate, I won't be back.

Was the most expensive frozen burgers I and my wife ever had,14dollar mushroom n Swiss burger was gard cheese was like rubber,mushrooms tasted like they came directly from can,,had a plate full of water.my wife's burger she couldn't hardly eat, do not recommend 99hoos for food,,expensive microwave food at best

It was the rudest manager he. Told us to pay bill before we got to eat then came back to the table with small boxes and said you have to leave we are going home. If he didn’t want us there he should have not taken order. He wouldn’t even talk to us just kept saying goodbye. I asked for cups for our cokes that we had not gotten to drink that was another seen. I will not recommend this place to a dog. We are two women disabled and wanted to eat.

The food is good but the take out is very iffy. I don’t want to be the guy that opens up his to-go containers to make sure they are appropriately portioned, but if you ever order a meal to go for a third party, I suggest that you check it before you hand it to them. I ordered a roast beef dinner and took one to go for a family member. I made the mistake of taking a picture of my dine-in dinner.I felt so bad I went to another restaurant and got them more food. It’s happened more than once with their takeout. Other than that, they seem to have everything on the ball.
