Me and my boyfriend waited about an hour for our food ( fish and chips & Reuben sandwich). Our waitress Joyce came by for comp drinks bc it took so long but there were around 3 other tables that got sat after us but was served their food before us and left.

Quality of food was really good. Not necessarily prep, cause it was simple things to prepare. The salmon was amazing! The crab cakes were big and almost totally crab. Yummy!!

It’s closed. A sports bar is going in this space.
We had a very good dinner together here. I highly recommend. All their food is great.

Great experience.
Crab cakes were solid 8/10 good amount of crab and good flavor. The spicy remoulade sauce was not for us.
The Burger was good, pretty juicy had a small hiccup as i order the bacon burger but got the classic. Honest mistake and it was fixed on the ticket no worries.
Seafood pasta was good, ok flavor and a good amount of seafood.

Disappointing. If you were drunk and high off of casino winnings it would probably be fine. Google told us this was the closest steak house to my dad’s house. He had never been to the Argosy so we decided to try it out for a special Saturday night steak dinner. The plywood painted black above the grand entrance should have been a clue. Decided to be fancy and order a mocktail, don’t. My salad came out and we still had no silverware/ napkins/ plates etc. our waiter apologized and said they didn’t have any silverware wrapped up at the moment ( 7:45 on a Saturday). Steaks are all $50+, fries were not great but we’re the only thing to sustain my boyfriend as his French melt never came out! Once we finally saw our waitress and walked over to her to tell her it was ridiculous and everyone else was done she did apologize and sent one out.

If you don’t mind feeling insulted or being treated like a 3rd class citizen you could try it out. The first time I went here I’m sitting quietly at my table studying the menu waiting on my mom and dad. Out of the blue a manager approaches me and says she’s sorry but they cannot serve me because I’m intoxicated. I asked her shocked what about my behavior told her that, to which her reply was “I can tell. You’re slurring your words”. I asked her in disbelief that if i wasn’t being loud, not causing a scene or being rude to the staff, on what grounds was she refusing to serve me and she repeated herself saying i was slurring and that was an indication that I’m drunk and they have a policy to refuse service to drunks. Now this is a bar, right? I will totally admit that I had drinks and it’s possible that I had slurred a word here or there. I remember her face, what color her blouse was, everything! I was not wasted, being belligerent and loud or causing any problems. The 2nd time the Asian restaurant was wand I had no other choice but to dine there. The lady before me was trying to order at the kiosk for the longest time and kept yelling at the machine. I was going in and out trying to see what would be faster, waiting on that lady or trying to get the attention of the bartender who was the only one there and was helping a couple order not even trying to make eye contact knowing very well I was trying to get her attention just to have the menu. Back at the kiosk I asked the lady if I could try when a cleaner passed by and informed us both that the machine was messing up that day and we should order with the bartender. Frustrated the lady went in and seeing her get no help even inside, I decided on McDonalds.
The 3rd (and last) time was last night when I had a dining voucher and was wanting something other than Asian. I’d been getting that last 4-5 times in the casino. I placed the order at the kiosk not wanting to deal with the amazing staff inside. After about 8-9 minutes I went in and asked the bartender to check if my order was ready. He said because I ordered at the kiosk he didn’t know what my order was and how long it would take. He called a manager passing by and asked if he could help me. He asked for my players card and went back to the kitchen. Came back and said it could take 20 more minutes. I was like “what?” He replied “first of all you’re getting free food and then you can’t even wait?”
It was unbelievable!!!!!!! I said yeah 20 minutes was quite a long wait and he replied “You’re getting free food. if you can’t wait we’ll throw it away. But you’re not getting your dining credit back. It’s finished because we’re making the food. You just don’t want to wait even though it’s free!”

I recently stayed in the hotel. it was so disappointing and dirty. Check the coffee maker before using. Mine has mold in it. I wouldn't touch the phone because it was so gross. The floor was so sticky and dirty, I had to throw my socks away. After two nights, I was happy to leave. Room service starts at noon. Why? They advertise Spa. Nope, not available. The smell of smoke made me feel nasty. I will never stay there again. After complaining to management, the comp me a whole $24.
Had great beer , flatbread pizza and beer too go how can you lose on that
Was worried after reading reviews but turned out good over all I figured it was because people lost so much money gambling, they gave bad reviews on other things which I believe, turned out to be true
I don’t gamble at casinos, but had to deliver to this one
I do love, casino, food, and drinks
Good place to eat and drink that’s for sure

We needed a room last minute on a Saturday night and took a chance on getting a comped room. We called at 5:30 and they had one available we were at a kids sporting event and would have been checking in around 9. At 8:20 we get a notification the room is cancelled. We called immediately and basically since we were not there by 8:30 they cancelled it. We were 10 min away from the hotel. Magically they already booked the room, mind you we called within a minute of the notification. Nothing they can do they say. Then they say you should not use the call center, when that’s the number they give you to call. We had a room a couple months ago and again it was comped however at check in we owed $18. I said so much for a “free” nights stay. They told us they had to get their money somehow. Then told us it was a fee from calling the call center. We get comp rooms all over KS, MO & OK and Argosy is the only place we have ever had to pay ANYTHING for a “free” room. They just lost our business and the crap ton of money we lose there every time we stay.

My husband ordered the shrimp & fries. The shrimp looked burnt, it tasted all right, but it was obviously overcooked. I ordered the mushroom Swiss smash burger w/onion rings and was severely disappointed. This wasn’t a ‘smash burger’. It was obviously a frozen hamburger patty-not fresh at all and I believe contained soy. It tasted terrible! From the first bite, the meat tasted old. The mushrooms seemed fresh, but I couldn’t get over the flavor/texture of the hamburger. The onion rings had a funky batter coating that made it difficult to enjoy-I kept spitting out hard chunks of the batter for fear of breaking a tooth! Your fryer oil needs changed, the shrimp & onion rings were dark with burnt bits. The waitress never checked with us after we were served. I refused to pay for the meal I couldn’t eat, and she apologized nicely, but overall it was NOT a good experience for us. Please adjust your menu, as anyone calling THAT a smash burger has never had one.
Bad food, haphazard service.

I have dined here 3 times in the course of the last year, only when visiting KC from STL. Each and every time has been really nice. The people that work there are all friendly. The food always comes out quickly. There is a diverse selection of apps and entrees and all that we have tried have been worth recommending.

Had a room booked and went to the casino…got an email at 8:50pm saying our room was cancelled (even though we had been down in the casino gambling since 7pm) Went to front desk and they said they cancel rooms who don’t check in by 8:30pm and they couldn’t do anything for me because now everything is sold out. WTF. So you’re telling me I spent hundreds on machines, several drinks, and now my room is cancelled? Total BS. I will never book a room here again.
