“I don't get all these bad reviews this place is great! We eat here a couple times a month and have always been impressed with the taste and quality of the food. In addition you get to see them cooking your food fresh and it usually comes out in less then 10 minutes. I think alot of these bad reviews are just people that are angry about having a rough night at the slots or tables and are taking it out on these very nice people who make excellent food.”

“This was an important dinner, my son who is 26, had surgery(had his tonsils removed) a couple days ago, and The recovery is described as one of the worst, and it feels like shards of glass in your throat.he has to eat soft food and he had Choices all over the Kansas City metro area. He chose Joe’s, Joe’s mac & cheese to be exact! We live on the Missouri side (Gladstone). So I decided to stop by this evening, and not only get a quart of mac & cheese for him, I grabbed dinner for myself (z-man w/ fries, ribs w/ red beans and rice, Mac and cheese) which I was reluctant to do, due to me having to drive 35 minutes home and I was worried that it was going to be Soggy and cold, Well, much to my surprise, the food was packed perfectly, my food was still hot, and my fries were still crispy! Thank you Joe’s in Leawood you did amazing! I will probably be back in the next couple of days to purchase more Joes mac & cheese! BTW this son of mine recommends Joes to everyone!! “Walking into what looks from the outside to be a tiny, intimate place, the expectation was high. Dark interior is elegant and the drink and food menu seemed quite good. That is until the food arrived. While salad was very good with fresh ingredients, everything else, from spaghetti with meatballs, deviled eggs, to calamari, they were with overcooked, lacked flavor, or simply wrong. Pasta should be more al dente while meatballs should be, well, meatballs instead of weirdly shaped salty ground beef. Deviled eggs shouldn’t taste chalky (that said, it was better as a cold leftover). And calamari would’ve been a better dish as grilled, not deep fried fast food. Given its excellent service and classy ambiance, let’s hope they figure out how to enhance their food situation.”

“My husband and I decided to drop by for some lunch and we were quite content :) The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute and colorful, while the service friendly and prompt. I ordered the Sumac Chicken Kabob after asking the waitress for a recommendation and my husband ordered the Arayes and fries. They were both flavorful and a good portion size. We would definitely come back when we get another chance!”

“Stopped here for breakfast before leaving KC - so worth it! The cinnamon roll, gooey butter cake, and breakfast hash were delicious! This place was highly recommended and I can see why. The hot mocha latte I got was great too! The place was packed and busy but they weee FAST on getting food and drinks out.”

“This was a great choose for a small relaxed family dinner. 4 stars for food, only because some meal portions were smaller than desired for the price however hats off to the cook the evening of 07/11/26; the flavor and presentation was perfect. 3 stars for service just because our hostess could have been more welcoming; personable and informative about the menu offerings etc, maybe she's just not the talking type who knows but everything else about the visit here was much enjoyed.”
