Bike shop was busy and took a long time for someone to rent the bikes but great bikes and delicious pastries. We were there at a peak time in a beautiful Saturday.

Very tasty menu items, relaxing atmosphere, and the staff has been uniformly pleasant!
Love this cafe! Food is always great and so is the coffee!
Service can be pretty slow but the small kitchen and low staff probably contribute to this.
I recommend having someone at the counter at all times. There has been so many times, I walked in and needed something and no one was there.
Lastly, the bathrooms are disgusting. They need be deep cleaned.

We had to wait for over an hour till we got our food, because everything was so unorganized. Than we had to wait another 30 mins to get our Check, we were so anoyed.
If you are cycling the Trail and want to get a quick lunch with fast Service, than stay away even if the food is good.
One positive thing to note besides the food is that it is one of the few restaurants in the usa that uses real cutlery and plates, as Germans we almost go crazy here with all the garbage, thank you for setting a good example.

Food is delicious, atmosphere is great. This is a must stop on KT.
Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Food was good (and expensive) but service was unbelievably slow and inattentive. Took twenty minutes after being seated to get waters, literally 45 minutes to get a cup of coffee, and then 1.25 hrs until food came. In that whole time, coffee was never refilled. They said their kitchen was short staffed, but this level of poor service was definitely due to more than just that.
Place was great we rode from boonville to roachport today and stopped in to have a later lunch. Food was excellent and wait time was non existent tables were nearly empty it was great

Had the southwest bean burger: really outstanding. My companion enjoyed the tomato soup and gouda grilled cheese.
Nice and cool inside and ample shaded seating outside.

The menu is great, the food is delicious, and the quaint location is idyllically next to the Katy Trail ... but the restaurant is always crowded with more tables full of patrons than the tiny kitchen and scant staff can handle. Customers are sadly left waiting; waiting to be noticed by the absent hostess, waiting for a table, waiting for a waitress to bring waters, waiting to place an order, waiting for food -- waiting, waiting, waiting. Meriwether Cafe is desperately in need of new management with an adequately upgraded business model.

Enjoy a breakfast or lunch while seated outside (or inside)! Right at a hub of the iconic Katy Trail, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. It's worth a trip to Rocheport for a delicious experience.

Went to counter to order and was told if we’re not taking it to go, we need to wait for a server. 10 mins passed, same gal at counter came past a few times to wait on other tables but no one stopped at our table to take our order or offer us water. Finally went back inside to buy to cans of soda and was still ignored by same gal. It’s 100° outside and was hoping for a quick bite and cold water. Finally left after 20 mins of being ignored
