The restaurant has good food and service.
How can Somebody as rude as this lady was manage such a Beautiful place.
Cussing arround customers is not really appropriate.
The Salad came Brown.
The lady smelled Like a Ashtray if you have to dissappear for along time to chain smoke maybe a Restaurant is not your Place for Employment.
Poor Poor Services.
It's kinda out in the sticks. And I'll admit it's a little pricey. But the fishing is excellent! I had lunch $50 (10 oz steak, baked potatoe, mixed vegetables, salad, and a slice of pie). Then I paid for half a day in the catch and release waters. It was a great day!!
I visited Rockbridge with my family for dinner on a recent trip to Missouri. We were greeted promptly when walking in and we were taken to our seats immediately. We were seated by the windows over looking the river. They had humming bird feeders outside the windows and it was a nice treat watching the humming birds. Our waiter Daniel did an amazing job getting our orders and making sure we had everything we needed. For starters we got the cold smoked trout. It was very delicious. I ordered the Ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My daughter got the kids burger and fries and cleaned her plate. For dessert I had the coconut cram pie which was to die for! My daughter had the triple chocolate cake which she devoured! We had a wonderful visit with great food, views, and friendly staff.
Rockbridge, MO, is a hidden gem. Nestled in a 2,000‑acre resort, the fishing experience is unbeatable, crystal clear, spring‑fed waters full of feisty rainbow trout. Even novice anglers leave with stories to tell.
But the real show stopper is the historic 1868 grist mill right across from the trout waters, now reborn as the Grist Mill Club, an open‑air bar and pub. Many original mill features wagon wheel tables, timber beams, stone foundations,
remain delightfully intact. It’s rustic, charming, and atmospheric perfect for grabbing a “Perfect Margarita” or a Ray Shot while watching anglers below the waterfall at dusk.
This review is for the restaurant on the property. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I took my elderly mother there for her birthday. I called 2 hours before dinner to make a reservation and requested that we be seated on the top floor area because my mother is in a wheelchair and I know from going there once before that going down the ramp to the lower floor is very steep. I was told it was no problem. Then we get there and the Hostess said we couldn’t sit where we requested cause that section was closed. I told her I called earlier and requested upper level would be fine, but she wouldn’t let us. We could sit where all the waitress were hanging out in the front walkway which was totally unexceptable. I should have just left then but it was mom’s birthday and I didn’t want to ruin it. I asked who was the girl that took the reservation over the phone but got 2 different stories. We made it down the ramp and as we were eating saw that some people were seated on the upper level. I was fuming!!! I asked the waitress about it and was told there was a large family reserving the whole top area. Hmmm so it’s ok if you have a large group but not ok for us. I felt totally lied to by the reservation girl, the hostess and not even sure the waitress at that point was telling the truth. This place is not worth the price you pay, the food was mediocre and bland and it is NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY AT ALL!!! Beware if you have a wheelchair!!! I will definitely not go there ever again and I will be telling all my friends in Ava about our experience.
Every employee here was exceptionally nice and informative.
This was our first time here and we will be back.
Enjoyed ourselves greatly. About the only thing I would touch on, is it would be nice to see a little heavier duty/ updated play equipment for something for the little ones to keep occupied during breaks. Staff was great and plan to make a yearly trip!
Omg, the fish was so amazing and fresh. I'm not usually a fish person but!!!!!! 100% will go back. The service was amazing. A bit pricey but for some food fresh fish must check out.

Restaurantji Recommends
The location is beautiful, The Establishment is terrible.
The food is terrible and it's overpriced. The worst management I've ever seen.
Rude, poor service, and who wants to fish a stream after a dump truck dumps a bunch of fish in it? Don't waste your money. There's better fishing for free in the river.

Our 30th year. Catch and release all year, then stock the freezer at Rockbridge. Fly fishing paradise in the beautiful Ozark mountains. Some of the prettiest water in the world
Noteworthy details: Some of the best tasting trout I've ever had
