Steak 'n Shake offers some of the best milkshakes and fair-priced food, but the service experiences can be mixed. The restaurant has updated to mobile ordering, eliminating menus and servers, replaced by kiosks which can make the dining experience feel awkwardly quiet and unusual. The interior is bright and sunny with lots of windows and booth seating, while the restrooms are extremely clean. Parking is ample and not a problem, especially since customer traffic is light. Despite the kid-friendly appearance, some customers feel the staff seem to prefer customers to go elsewhere. Inside, condiments, napkins, and soda machines are conveniently located past the order kiosk, which has multiple touchscreens that sometimes appear to be not wiped down regularly. Food quality can be inconsistent, with some items not meeting expectations, and some customers find the new system less enjoyable, missing the personal service. The burgers are tasty with crispy shoestring fries, and fountain sodas include Coke products, sweet tea, and unsweetened tea. Payment is by credit card, and orders are called out by name when ready. The drive-thru is popular, wrapping around the building, making it convenient for quick service. Overall, this location is a good Steak 'n Shake, though the modernized ordering process and reduced personal contact may take some getting used to.
