I wasn't expecting to put in my own order nor was I expecting to be asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Seriously? The fries were absolutely not crispy enough and my sandwich should have been cut in two.

This isn't steak n shake any longer. Now the only sell burgers, fries, and drinks. And it's all self service. I missed the food so we found one still open for business, well bye bye steak n shake. I'll never go back. Why on this app they ask what I ordered is beyond me. Almost everything listed is discontinued.

I was excited to find a Steak n Shake on my drive, but was so disappointed. Self order kiosks, self serve drinks, zero staff interaction. No waitresses. Pick up your food at counter when cooked. And the ordering system wanted a tip... for doing what? Not a fan of this business model.
Two adult meals and one kids meal for $50 and there is no staff besides the kitchen staff. Kiosk only ordering, what a joke. Cold food. Will not be going back and would not recommend.

The sign upon entry says order at kiosk but none of them worked they tell you to order off of the paper at the counter "with no prices". I place my order then ask how much is the chilli i was told oh it's half off right now so it's like 3 something, so i order it get to the table ask for the receipt because the price didn't add up....just to see i was charged almost $8 get the order to see its a small cup NOT BOWL, ANNND it was terrible it tasted like old hot dog water. My boyfriend takes it back only for us to be told oh well I'm sorry but we dont do refunds but i can give you something else. To say i was pissed was an understatement. Not to mention the other food was horrible as well majority of the meal was trashed money wasted

Food was excellent, staff was friendly. Service was ok, only because after covid everyone went to order kiosks. They have not changed back. You order your good on the computer and someone makes it and sets it on the counter and yells your number. I miss the good ol days where someone actually took your order. The atmosphere was vintage steak n shake. I would go back but maybe the drive thru just like the good ol days.
