Valentine's Day dinner at 1818 Bistrot is a do not miss! Everything is wonderful and the wine choices very good. Still time to make it here this evening since this is a new owner restaurant and not fully booked. The guitar player in the corner is a welcome touch. Intimate eatery on Main Street St Charles.

Wish I could comment on the food, but we never got any. After an hour of waiting for our appetizer (and entrees) to no avail and having our dining room neighbors receive cold food after their own hour long wait, we left and went to Lewis & Clark’s - great food there.

The chairs are so fragile and tables are so tiny! It's not comfortable. The waitress forgot about our appetizers and the food was absolutely terrible. Chicken salad was completely bland on the hardest toast, and the salad was watery. Fries were fine along with the lobster Rangoon. But those are just frozen items not cooked in house.

We have been coming to St charles for many years and never tried Braddens/1818 bistro. The food was great service was great and the place was very clean and well decorated. Will come back again!

Didn't get a chance to try the food. We sat there for 1 hour waiting on our order. The waiter comes back and said it wasn't his fault. We only ordered sandwiches but it would be 30 more minutes if we still wanted to wait. Of course we are the only 2 blacks in the establishment. Others came in ordered and got their food and out. The madness is starting already or should I say more openly. We went to firebirds, totally different vibe.

The food overall was very decent...! However, the service wasn't the best. They were trying to hurry us up out of there. It was miserably warm inside the restaurant to a degree where it was uncomfortable... There were many flies swarming around our table, window & food. Not very pleased with the entire restaurant. I would give a 2 star as I disliked my experience.

My wife and I went there Saturday 11/02/24 for dinner around 6:00 p.m. we were sat by the host and there were only two other couples in the inside. After 20 minutes of not being acknowledged we walked out and past four employees including the host that sat us sitting in the bar.
Nice little restaurant that fits the area. I got a Southwest wrap and a cup of chowder. It was good but if definitely try sometime else next time I go.

We had lunch on the patio on a beautiful fall day. We both had the lobster bisque 🦞 and fried pork tenderloin sandwiches and split a piece of the chocolate cake. So yummy!

Place was ok. Waitress never came back with to collect the bill. But front gal came back for it. Never asked if we want dessert or maybe after dinner drink. That’s how u make the money!! Just put bill on table and said. That’s for u! Hello. Thank you. Come again. Are u done. Can I get u anything else. How was your dinner ????

Really disappointed. It’s been a while since I’ve been back to St. Charles so I’ve not dined here recently. Food was mediocre. Bun was burnt and fries were overcooked. Server was nice but service was not great. We had to ask for refills and I’m pretty sure they were out of tea so they added water to refill my half full glass (my tea glass was taken inside to refill). We sat for a while waiting to ask for our checks. Loved the deck and it was a beautiful night.
