Great steak for a buffet and killer shrimp.
The food was always delicious one of my favorite buffets i can’t wait until it opens back up i know it’s a lot going on with the virus and all but i think if you all get the workers to serve the customers versus everyone touching on the serving spoons it would help a lot just my opinion only
The desert choices were very good! Lots of different pies, puddings and cakes!! The catfish was good, the turkey, ham and roast were good as well! Very nice salad selection. The oriental food was pretty good!
Service was fantastic! And food was great plenty of options. We enjoyed the champagne brunch. Look forward to our next visit!
Great variety of foods. Everything is always good. Be prepared to possibly wait in line to get in on busy nights.
Lots of great food, tons of variety! Their deserts are SO good - everyone can find something to enjoy!
This is absolutely the best PLACE to eat in St. louis?
My wife and I we don't Gamble but we do enjoy decent food and Friends so we decided on Sunday that we would go to the Ameristar buffet with family and friends and it was nice who was decent Ambiance is good it's always good to be with family I do recommend
The food and the different stations are amazing. The place is clean with great wait staff. The only problem was the young lady at the front. She wad not welcoming and not very informative until I stated, this is our first time what do we do? She needs to be in the back or retrained.
Took my family here today and paid $30 each for 10 of us. Very bad experience. One hour wait for a table and I had raise Cain to get it. The food was far from delicious. The serving line was very unorganized. The hostesses had bad attitude. They didn't want to be there and surely let you know it. Not the kind of experience I expect from Ameristar.

The food was good, what food we were able to get. We've been before even when busy, and it didn't take as long to eat as it did today. It's been a while since we've had Sunday brunch. The breakfast foods, eggs, bacon, ect were moved from the start of the buffet to the middle. This caused way longer lines and wait times to get the core breakfast items. For the price it was defiantly not worth it this morning. I hope they go back to their old breakfast layout so we can actually get more than 1 plate of food.
The food is not hot enough. If it wasn't for the stir fry made to order, nothing would have been hot. Luke warm baked cod, pork chop wrapped in bacon was very well done and dry. Used to be very good buffet, has lacked for several months.
It's one of the better buffets I've had outside of Rio in Vegas.
Good for free. Would have a problem if I had to pay for it. But its good.
My husband, son and I have been having Thanksgiving dinner at your buffet for several years but today will be our last. After waiting in line for about 45 minutes, we had a terrible dining experience. The prime rib (which a favorite of mine), was so tough I could barely cut it. When I did manage to saw off a piece it tasted like it had been smoked. Who smokes prime rib? I also had 1 spare rib which was too tough to chew off the bone. My son said the sirloin was good but tough. Steak knives would have been a nice addition. My husband said the turkey was good while I enjoyed the Mongolian stir fry (no meat) and a mini cheese cake with caramel topping and chopped pecans. Unfortunately these two offerings weren't worth $27.99 apiece for three of us. Although there was a sign for Creme Brule on the desert bar there was never any available. And most importantly, where were the crab legs? I looked on the website and it showed photos of crab legs but there were none available on the buffet. (I have a screen shot from the webpage). I would like to compliment our waitress as she was very helpful with the drinks and had a wonderful attitude, but all and all, we were extremely disappointed and will not be returning to the buffet in the future, for Saturday night dinner or Thanksgiving. We enjoy dining out and there are plenty of restaurants where we can count on a good meal.
