Had lunch today. Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and green beans as my sides for a lunch special. $ 9.95 The chicken fried steak was cooked to perfection and green Breana were so good best even. The service was fast and friendly. Great neighborhood bar.

Went on a very busy, short staffed night. Had a bit of a wait but service did their best to keep drinks full, they were running their butts off. Spectacular food, good prices and good company. What a cute little dive bar! The drinks were good, but the meal was amazing! We had a ribeye dinner and everything was so tasty. The only complaint is the uncomfortable seating.
First time here, and our party was completely surprised by the outstanding food that they served. Everything was excellent and I will be coming back Soon.

Outstanding beef and pasta dishes! A bit pricy but worth the final bill. The dessert was a bit unmatched but all else outstanding. Drinks were delicious .We were very pleased.

In all fairness the Pine Room may actually deserve five stars but because I've never had their food I won't include that in my review, even though the word on the street is that it's pretty fantastic. The first time I came here I may or may not have been a little tipsy and I thought my friends just got us lost in an unassuming low key St. Charles neighborhood. Then as we approached the building I wondered why we were going to a laundromat (ok I was tipsy). Upon entering I loved the vibe. Like the someone's slightly divey basement bar. No need to to impress but welcoming. The drinks were good and cheap. The menu is your basic country cookin fare- fried chicken, steak and potatoes, fried apps. Maybe next time I feel like consuming a shitload of calories I'll give it a shot.
