Smokey and dirty. That alone kept us from staying for the food. ?
We were hoping for home cooked breakfast.

If you don't mind a little second-hand smoke and yellowed walls, the Spring Creek Cafe offers delicious homemade country-style food in generous portions for a more than decent price. The staff are attentive and friendly, and you'll leave "filled to the gills" without breaking the bank. They offer delicious breakfasts, burgers, chicken fried steak and open-faced roast beef with all the fixin's (a rotation of many veggies and sides). I don't love leaving smelling like smoke, but man, the food is really hard to beat. Don't miss the biscuits—they are homemade and so fluffy and delightful you'll think your MeeMaw is back there cookin'. The food is as good as the atmosphere is bad, but you're there to EAT not enjoy the ambiance, right?
Be careful on the wood ramp outside - it's a little sketchy.

Parking: Parallel parking on the street makes it easy to get in and out.

From the food to the decor, this place was just what we needed. We loved everything about it! The service was amazing and so what the food. Extremely affordable and great quality. Cash only, smoking seating available... I love having that as an option.

Cheyenne was our server, she made sure our drinks never went empty and she was very pleasant. I had the Loaded scrambled eggs with all 3 meats and half order of the loaded hash browns. The food was wonderful. The portions were more than I thought they would be. The price was great, you definitely get your money’s worth. I recommend if you are in Salem Missouri, stop in and try them out but bring cash or your checkbook, they don’t take debit or credit cards.

This place is one of my favorites however its ambiance doesn't reflect the great home style entrees that are priced to fill up the hungriest of people!! Staff is fast and accurate just needs a good
