Trevor with Mallard’s Smokin Bar-B-Que was incredible to work with and ALL the food he cooked for our wedding was phenomenal! During the entire process Trevor had open communication, helped guide us to the best option/package to fit our needs, and even followed up as the wedding neared to ensure he had all the details covered. We received so many compliments from our guest from the cheesy potatoes, green beans, homemade ranch dressing, and all three meats (brisket, turkey, and pulled pork). Would highly recommend their catering options and checking out his food truck. The delicious food has been consistent every time we have had them whether it be at the food truck, two of our friend’s wedding, and our wedding!

I have only one word; outstanding. I’m a Texan, and I’ve tried BBQ in plenty of states outside of TX. And I had come to the conclusion long ago, that I had to lower my expectations… a lot. That is, until I had a hankering for BBQ, and happened to find this place on Google Maps. I picked out a 1/3 slab of ribs, and the Gouda Mac and cheese, and my husband picked out the pulled pork sandwich, also with the Gouda Mac and cheese. I filled our little sauce cups (since I tend to find ribs outside of TX pretty dry), and we headed to the car. And my oh my, my ribs were falling off the bone! The meat was juicy and tender and falling apart, with robust flavor throughout, incredible color, and the perfect crispy crust. The Mac and cheese sauce was just the right thickness and the right amount of flavor so it didn’t overpower your senses. And the sandwich wasn’t drowning in sauce, and my even went back for a second sandwich! Overall, I feel like I got a palate cleanser. This experience is in my top 3, including BBQ from TX, and neither my husband nor I can wait to go again!!

My husband is an extremely, extremely judgy eater.. like nothing makes him happy. I on a whim said let’s try mallards and he agreed. We got ribs, brisket, pulled pork, turkey, collards, cheesy potatoes, cheesy corn AND these loaded brisket balls.
My husband said not only was this the best barbecue in Sedalia but this is the best barbecue he has ever had in his life and I completely agree!!! Only complaint is there weren’t drinks and that’s just because we were salivating over the food! Seriously amazing job. Bravos guys!
