Authentic and Worth It

Ni-Kuni Japanese Steak House is seriously impressive. The place is super clean, from the dining area to the bathrooms. You can tell they care about the details.

The food? Absolutely authentic! The hibachi was cooked perfectly, and the sushi was fresh and full of flavor. Everything tasted like it came straight from Japan.

The staff were professional and friendly, and the music added a chill, modern vibe without being too loud. Overall, it’s a great spot with amazing food and a cool atmosphere. Me and my family can't stop coming back!

wide selection of sushi rolls. We ordered 5 rolls to split between a party of 6 with 3 adults and 3 under 15 and over 11. We ordered the Gyoza (fried dumplings). The order came with 5, but we were able to make it work. It's very tasty. We also ordered the southwest eggroll. They came in an order of three, so we were able to split them in half so everyone could have some. I wasn't a fan of the sw egg rolls, but others liked them. I also am not a fan of cream cheese in my sushi rolls, and there were several that we ordered that had the cream cheese. I've eaten there before, so this was a return trip. We also ordered a child's teriyaki chicken. It comes with Miso soup and fried rice, but they were able to sub steamed rice. The 2 apps, the kids meal, 5 rolls and tip came to a little under 20 apiece.

Another fantastic Sushi dinner in seda, Missouri with great service. Our new favorite restaurant in the area.

WOW, what a find. We live on the ocean with daily access to fresh fish and this was outstanding. The service (Yejen or Kim) was top notch. The place was very clean with an inviting atmosphere. This will be our new go to spot when we are in the area. Thank you

What can I say besides truly, this is the very best place in Sedalia. While food is everything in a restaurant business— and the food is exceptional— it is the staff that makes this place incredible.

I typically get the avacado sushi roll, and it never disappoints.

All in all, don’t pass this place up if you are entertaining the idea of going out.

This is a bucket list restaurant for sure, in Sedalia. Great service, excellent sushi and the noodles were amazing. 5 Stars was earned 100%. Met my daughter for a birthday meal and had a great meal with smiling service and food options for everyone. I even got a happy birthday song sung...and a sunday for the birthday girl.... Gotta give them a try...🔜

We arrived at around 1:20pm to a full parking lot. It was Mother's Day so I definitely understand being busy. We found a spot and walked into a full waiting area. We were told 15-20 minutes to be seated which we were happy to wait. It took about 35 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated our waiter immediately took our drink orders and appetizer order. This is where things turned for the worse. Apparently the group before us was a very large group and our waiter was tasked with waiting all of their tables and ours. Unfortunately, he spent a majority of his time waiting on them and we seemed to be forgotten. We did have two people ask if we had been taken care of, and to that we said yes because we actually had been. After about 30 minutes we finally received our drinks and I had to remind our waiter that we ordered appetizers. During this time, we watched a few other tables in his section get up and leave because they probably hadn't received their drinks either. Eventually we received our appetizers and ordered our food. During our wait for the appetizers and food we only received one drink refill and that was from the front desk person. Again, our waiter was focused on the large group. In the end, we received our food about an hour after we got seated and finally left the restaurant around 3:30pm. That's a little over two hours which is too long. I think my point here is that they could do a better job managing the wait staff. They were not expecting a large group like that, so assign one guy to do it and have other wait staff cover his section. This was really the only thing wrong with our visit. The food was not the best I've had for the price for either sushi or hibachi, but it was better than some. I've had excellent sushi from hole in the wall restaurants that charge much less. If we would've had great service, I could've definitely overlooked some of the other faults, but that just ruined it for me.
