It's a gas station that has an eating area. The burgers were good and getting a some good food by the lake was a plus. They were out of American cheese I found odd but had other options.

This is a lake community restaurant. Lots of comfort food, and occasionally a rather exotic special.
This was our first visit and we really liked it. We were there Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy but we found a table right away (we got lucky but saw others after us waiting on a table so be prepared). I had the captains double and my wife had the tenderloin. Our son is a picky eater but he loved their fries. We also tried the fried mushrooms and onion rings. It was all really good. And to top it off we each had a cookie, also delicious. We'll definitely be back the next time we're out at Smithville Lake.
Parking: It's an old gas station, so parking and dining space is limited. We found a table right away but saw some people waiting after us

This a a great hidden gem!! We go to Smithville lake often to enjoy the trails and always finish with a great meal. Everything I have had is top notch, if you get there early enough they have locally sourced baked good that are nothing but homespun goodness!!
