From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our server was not only attentive but impressively knowledgeable about every dish and ingredient — helping us navigate the menu with care and confidence.
The quality of the food exceeded all expectations. The white fish was incredibly fresh, buttery, and delicate — a clear standout. The robata-style offerings brought a perfect balance of smoky char and refined flavor, especially the perfectly grilled sea bass, which was flaky, tender, and beautifully seasoned.
Every detail from presentation to service was executed flawlessly. This is not just a meal — it’s a true culinary experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking authentic, elevated Japanese cuisine.
If you’re looking for a top-tier Japanese dining experience, this restaurant is a true gem. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone — refined, elegant, and warm.
The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the high-quality nigiri and sashimi. Each piece was expertly cut and impeccably fresh, practically melting in your mouth. The rice was seasoned to perfection, complementing the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it.
Another standout was the A5 Wagyu tataki — beautifully seared and incredibly tender, with just the right balance of umami and richness. It was a showstopper dish that left a lasting impression.
Service was equally exceptional. Our server, Riza, was both warm and professional. She was extremely knowledgeable about every item on the menu, from the origins of the fish to the detailed preparation of the wagyu. Her thoughtful recommendations elevated the entire experience.
This is a place where quality, service, and authenticity come together. Perfect for special occasions or anyone who truly appreciates premium Japanese cuisine.
We spent a total of like 140 bucks. The A5 wagu hot rock was so good the sashimi was good as well. Our server was amazing. What killed it for us was suki sake roll it was this crispy crab thing that was fried but it was topped with a dollop of raw salmon and roe. The combo of mushy and crunchy with a lack of clear flavor just made that dish disappointing. If you’re looking for clean flavors and good quality fish it’s really good. Sashimi and uni was amazing the otaro was the best thing I’ve had. Also we were given like a dirty glass that we didn’t notice till the very end and it had like things floating in the water. It was okay but in my opinion haruno was kinda better 🙂↕️ overall good experience wouldn’t go back unfortunately.
Love it. Great service
I have visited three times, but first time trying the Omakase….. wow, just wow. Hands down the best seafood, and sushi in Springfield. I’d even argue the best I have ever had, and that’s after living in Boston and numerous West Coast trips. From when you walk in, to when you leave, there is such a high level of detail. This is a prime example where food meets art, crafted and served with love. My only complaint is that my Omakase experience had to end. I’d live here if I could. Highest compliments to the chef and staff!
Went here for a birthday dinner. Very extensive menu with neat atmosphere. Great for celebrations and date nights. Will be back!
Lamb had not even a tint of red. Very over cooked and tough. Lobster tail also over cooked and tough. Every dish seemed smothered with green onions. Woke up next morning with taste of green onions in my mouth. Plus very over priced.
We stumbled across Ariake Sushi & Robata while looking for a ramen spot nearby, but somehow this place popped up in the search — a bit misleading since ramen isn't on their menu. Still, we gave it a shot.
The atmosphere felt like it was trying to be fine dining, especially with the prices — you're looking at about $20 per plate, minimum. But the vibe overall was pretty casual, which made it feel slightly mismatched for the price point.
Our waitress was doing double duty at the bar and serving tables, and I’ve got to give her credit — she was hustling and handling it well. She also did a solid job upselling some of the pricier dishes, which we did NOT fell for. My girlfriend loved her food, and it tasted great. My dish, on the other hand, tasted decent but came out looking like... well, let's just say it wasn’t pretty. For what they charge, I expected better presentation and overall execution.
Bottom line: the food quality is mostly good, but you're definitely paying premium prices, and it doesn't quite deliver a premium experience across the board. It's a sushi place geared more toward those with a bigger budget — not exactly the hidden gem for a casual night out.
Would I go back? Maybe, but only if someone else is paying.
Just had another five star experience at Ariake! They serve consistently excellent food and impeccable service tailored to your preferences! I cannot believe this restaurant is in Springfield, Missouri! Highly recommend it, and although Cody took great care of us, any of their staff would be recommended! Go experience Japan in Springfield!
Enjoyed a variety of Nigiri! The freshest I’ve ever had in this area! The fish literally melted in my mouth! Wagu A5 hot rocks was pretty amazing as well! We also enjoyed a Tokyo sunrise, forest of ariake, and a lychee martini! Each cocktail was well made! It was a lovely dinner. Can’t wait to come back.

A coworker and I went here for lunch. It was my first experience at this place, and it was a great one! The waitress was fantastic, the atmosphere is really cool, and the food was delicious. I got the kimchi fried rice and it was so flavorful! There were several other things on the menu that sounded delicious, so I'm sure you can't go wrong, and I'll be going back to try more!
Excellent food, great service, and I love the atmosphere.

WOW! After spending most of my adult life traveling and enjoying great food, I never thought I would find such a gem like this in Springfield, MO. The atmosphere, quality, freshness, selection of everything was plucked from Miami, NY, or LA. Mind blown. Bravo, hands down one of the greatest dining experiences of my life. We can't wait to go back.

We had an incredible experience! I made a reservation weeks in advance for our anniversary, and on the day of, I called before opening in hopes of arranging a special surprise. I wanted to drop off a bouquet of flowers to have ready on our table. The woman I spoke with was incredibly helpful and even allowed me to choose our table for the evening. The food was outstanding—the seabass was absolutely perfect. We’ve decided to make this our go-to anniversary destination every year. Thank you for making our celebration so special!
