Server Astrid did a great job thoughout the meal; personable, quality checks, tbl manicured, drinks refilled. Food temps and quality great! Owner Avid seen in the dining room the whole time actively greeting and seating guests, and assisting the staff. Well done everyone--this is our new place!!”

“We ordered cupcakes for my daughter's gender reveal and she asked did you feel all the cupcakes or just some and the girl proceeded to tell my daughter what the color was. my daughter is the mother and her day was ruined. Then when confronted the girl lied said she asked the color and that my daughter didn't look pregnant. When they were orderd the guy clearly stated it was on the order form to not say anything. Although the cupcakes are good they have lost my business. On top of ruining the day they made her pay. Do better”

“We used Google to find a restaurant near us after an appt and this was the first listing. So glad we tried it! We got the chips and dips because I wanted to try the mango salsa. It was good and the queso was queso but the black bean was the star of that appetizer. We were there during the day and ordered the lunch portions even though full size portions were still available. I have no idea how much more you get with dinner but it has to be huge. We left so full. I got the rasta pasta with shrimp which was incredible. My husband ordered the tiki tacos with fish and said not only was it the best fish tacos he's ever had but it was the best coleslaw he's ever gotten at a restaurant. Then they offered us homemade keylime pie made with the owners mother's recipe. Like I said we was full but I ordered some to go. It was so creamy and refreshing. I'm so glad we found this place and will definitely be coming back.”

This past week marked our first visit to Metro and it was phenomenal . The “Dapper Dan” and “Basic Ben” were outstanding, and the service provided by Reza was exceptional - he was attentive, friendly, personable, and just a well rounded server. After just one visit, Metro has quickly became one of our new favorites! See ya soon!”

“Tina and I go to Avanzare Italian Dining every year for our anniversary. This is one day we splurge. The food is amazing. The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. It's not necessarily cheap, but it's amazing. How they remember orders without writing them down is a talent I know I couldn't do. Last night, I had the rib-eye steak and green beans with a glass of wine, and oh my goodness, it was amazing. Phillip was our server last night, and he is absolutely amazing. He was so good I tipped him 50% of the bill. My only recommendation to make Avanzare better would be to hire a photographer to come around and take pictures of couples celebrating a special occasion, or a small live orchestra, a one- or two-piece band playing music in the background. We will be back next year, celebrating our 11th anniversary.”

“Went today to get some writing accomplished. It was a great environment for such a task. I typically drink black coffee but decided to try the Horchata latte hot and it was delicious. I also had the goat cheese and apple sandwich and I would order it again, it was so good.”

She apologizes (unnecessarily), takes my order, prepares it as a party of two walk in, then another solo party and she greets them, apologizing for being the only one here each time. The thing is, Melissa showed up, she’s doing a tough job alone and she showed up. She made my breakfast perfectly and did a very good job taking care of me and the other patrons while I was here. “A peculiar pride truck was parked on the roadside. Approximately at 3:00 AM, I placed an order at McDonald’s for a double quarter pounder deluxe with cheese and a strawberry banana smoothie. It is important to note that this smoothie was not substantial in size, and I did not receive fries.”

“Since the south Glenstone location in Springfield reopened have eaten there twice inside. Service was great. Food was good. Price was the same as before restaurant including bathrooms are clean. Called in a carry out today it was ready when I went to pick it up and still warm upon getting home realized there was a mixup in the order. Called and girl who answered gave me to I assume the manager who was very nice and understanding and offered to absolutely Fix it and even through in aside for my trouble. Only took 10 minutes to get the corrected order and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this location for dine in and carry out !”

“Went to this little Diner today called Casper's. It looks absolutely ghetto on the outside. The locals go on and on about it. I didn't put a lot stock in what people say....but it was enough , that the two of us wanted to check it out. Anyway I ordered a Double Whammy Burger. That is simply a double cheese burger with cheese and chilli on it. Ok the chilli is what they are famous for ...chilli dogs, burgers, frito pies and such. And I have to say, what shows up at our table. I was shocked and a little confused. I will tell you that this was so good, I kept eating until I was breathing hard. The fries were hand cut and a little on the dark side (Perfect) atmosphere..outstanding Service...top notch. I absolutely recommend this place and will take friends and family when they visit. any way as a recent transplant to Springfield, I have to agree with the nostalgic love of this place”

I was immediately impressed by the work ethic of the entire crew of this restaurant. I would have loved to have had any of them in my restaurants. The food is always consistently good and the restaurant is always clean. Not just at the surface level but deep clean. I’m always made to feel like a valued guest. “I contacted the manager at the Kimbrough location before Thanksgiving to request an order that would be our Thanksgiving dinner. My son recently lost his wife and this was his first Thanksgiving without her (she was an incredible lady), so there was a lot of sadness in our hearts. So, because my son loves Firehouse Subs, that's what I wanted to do for him for Thanksgiving. The manager didn't even hesitate, she was more than willing to provide the sandwiches and she provided the ingredients so we could make our own sandwiches on Thanksgiving Day. When she called to tell me the food was ready for me to pick up Wednesday evening, she told me something I did not expect! She did not charge me for the food and it was such an extremely nice thing for her to do, it made me cry. When I told my son what Firehouse Subs did for us, he and I both cried, because it was such a kind, unexpected gesture and it helped so much when we were dealing with the loss of his wife during the holidays. It gave me some hope that there are good people still left in this world. Thank you to the Manager personally for this simple act of kindness you did for my family; and thank you to the entire staff for all of their help and patience when I was getting this ordered.”

Between Dontay and Courtney there was great food, lots of laughs and great conversation. We will definitely be going back and will ask to get the same server.”

I feel like the prices are a bit steep. The prices almost make me want to go home, dig out my family cookbook, and ingredients - and whip out some classically good homemade cookies, which you honestly can't really beat.

These are okay, for being a lot of money. If you need a snack or dessert to share at a kid's game, or work function in a pinch, maybe consider Crmbl.
Overall, decent.”

The only thing keeping it from a true 10/10 is the small and large bits of bone that frequented the curry. Otherwise, a true food gem which Springfield is lucky to have!”

“We visited to celebrate a friend’s engagement. The steak was good, close to what we had in Japan. Unfortunately the A5 was out, but the Wagyu was cooked well and tender. The drinks we ordered from the bar were also well made. We all got different sides to try, and they were mostly disappointing. However the dirty rice was very good! We tried three others and weren’t really impressed. The atmosphere is high end old fashioned steakhouse, so it was a good place to have a nice dinner to celebrate.”

During lunch time it was very busy. You order at the counter then sit, while it was very busy the line was to the door waiting to order. Maybe during peak hours like this they could have 2 people taking orders. Other than that, food has been good and seems reasonably priced. Will definitely be returning.”

“So glad I found this place! The food was delicious and the service was incredibly fast and easy. Route 66 burger was cooked to perfection. The bacon and onions were an excellent touch to an already good burger. The hand cut fries were tasty with just the right amount of salt.
I did a to go order, but could’ve easily sat in the hotel lobby. There is plenty of seating at either the tables, bar, or high top table. there was a cool, upscale vibe, but not too swanky.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with such a cozy, welcoming environment that immediately makes you want to stay awhile. The owner is incredibly sweet and kind, and the entire staff has been nothing but pleasant, friendly, and accommodating every time I’ve visited. You can truly feel the care they put into their space and the people they serve. The coffee is delicious, the avocado toast is so good, and the overall vibe is warm, inviting, and comfortable.
