“We have alpha gal allergies in the family so it’s hard to find desserts for my mom to eat. Last night we officially found our new favorite bakery, Veggie Haven! The cupcakes were some of the best cupcakes we’ve ever had. One of the best parts about my mom’s 50th last night!“

“What a delightful spot for lunch. We drove up to Springfield for the day from Oklahoma and chose Van Gogh’s for lunch. The service was top notch even though the hostess greeted us with an abrupt “there’s a 20 minute wait!!”, as opposed to hello and welcome, but that’s okay. Our server was wonderful and attentive. I wish I could remember her name. All of the food was delicious and served with a smile. I highly recommend the cod sandwich! The apple tart for dessert was perfect! We will definitely be back.“

“It was SO nice finally eating a hot meal in Missouri after spending an entire week in Branson with no gluten-free options as someone with celiac disease.

Almost the entire menu is gluten-free and they have a dedicated fryer. Thank GOD.

My husband and I ordered:

- Fried Guacamole / Palta Fritas. $9.99 (Appetizer)
- Lomo Saltado. $18.99 (Main)
- Amazon Fried Rice. $15.99 (Main)
- Lúcuma Cheesecake. $10 (Dessert)
- Bottle of hot sauce to take home. $10

While the fried rice was a tad oversalted and I didn't like the Cheerio crust on the cheesecake, the food was so good and the salsa... Omg. I could have taken a case home of that stuff. It is hot but complex and flavorful. The salsa alone is worth another visit.

They have a menu with foods you might not see anywhere else in town such as deep fried rabbit with basil lime aioli, BBQ jackfruit with Peruvian panca peppers or blackened cobia on a bed of ahi amarillo mashed potatoes.

The restaurant is in an old building from the 1800's with tables, booths and even a dining room upstairs. The bathrooms are individual rooms with a sink and changing table, so they are unisex.

Service was great.

Overall, I would definitely return.

“They have an amazing breakfast especially the French toast and bacon. I did not like the lunch though at all. We had chili cheese fries and Philly cheese steak. The chili fries were so soggy and the steak sandwhich had thick , chewy steak and just not a good taste at all.“

“Druff's is my favorite place in Springfield. We go almost every other Sunday after church. I recommend just about everything on the menu. I prefer a side of homemade tomato soup, but the other sides are delicious as well. I don't know how they do it, but the sandwiches are perfectly crispy and cheesy every single time.

My usual is the backwoods sandwich, but the the too cute is a great, non-sandwich, option.

They also have amazing cocktails for a Sunday fun day.

“First time going to the Grotto and was not disappointed. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, tacos, and appetizers. When you walk in the menu board is on the left, you look over it, and then order and pay at the register. The only negative that I have is that they try to pressure you into providing a tip immediately by having the tip screen pop up before you can pay. The only service they provide is bringing you your order. You get your own drinks, silverware, condiments, napkins, and refills so I am not sure why they ask for a tip. Anyway, the food was great. My wife ordered the grilled chicken meal with two sides. She got the side salad and sweet potato fries. She loved everything about it. The chicken was moist, the fries crunchy, and salad wonderfully seasoned. I ordered the Swiss burger and fries. The fries were hot and crispy and the burger was delicious with the house made aioli sauce. The only issue was that the burger was a tad dry, but not enough to say it wasn't delicious. We also ordered the chips and caso appetizer which was really good with the caso having a nice kick to it. Would return to try something else.

Everyone agreed the pizza was exceptional and the Caesar salad was one of the best we ever had. Pasta with meatballs in marinara was also very good!
Delivery was fast, even on a holiday weekend.

It's not cheap, figure on about $15 per person, $20 with drinks.

But it's definitely worth it. No regrets.

After placing my order and paying, I found a comfortable seat and waited. My food arrived promptly, and the presentation was beautifully done. The dish looked appetizing, and the first bite confirmed it tasted just as good. The restaurant has a charming, aesthetically pleasing design, and it was easy to find despite being inside a hotel. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I felt well taken care of by the friendly staff, and the whole experience was very satisfying. I had a great time and look forward to returning to try more items on the menu.
