“We were just passing through Springfield and decided to try something different, it was the best food of our whole vacation. our waitress was funny and friendly, was very accommodating to our daughter, and the food.. was absolutely amazing. I felt like I needed a bumper sticker and tshirt after eatting at the Black Sheep and am equally as devastated it is 7 hours away from our house. We will be back!“

“I called Mrs Gilmore's twice, and emailed once about a group of about 15 women who wanted to have lunch at Mrs. Gilmore's. No one answered my email, and neither time I called was the need for a reservation mentioned. When we arrived, they evidently mistook our group for another one who was also lunching there that day. Once the error was discovered it became evident they were not prepared for our group. We were made to feel as if we'd done something wrong. They seated us in another area, our drink orders taken and delivered, and we never saw our server again. Finally, after one of us had to leave in order to get food before going to work, we decided to go elsewhere. A neighboring restaurant was able to accommodate us quickly without fuss, despite being short handed. We had our food within a surprisingly short time. Thank you, Big Momma's. We'll be back.“

Server Astrid did a great job thoughout the meal; personable, quality checks, tbl manicured, drinks refilled. Food temps and quality great! I went out there after no one showed up there after a couple hours (brunette bartender had no answers, thought I was being rude asking about it being open, so had an attitude, said “well, you can go out there but you won’t have service.” Great attitude, right? Ginger bartender and server Faith made up for it. Those two were great.“

“We used Google to find a restaurant near us after an appt and this was the first listing. So glad we tried it! We got the chips and dips because I wanted to try the mango salsa. It was good and the queso was queso but the black bean was the star of that appetizer. We were there during the day and ordered the lunch portions even though full size portions were still available. I have no idea how much more you get with dinner but it has to be huge. We left so full. I got the rasta pasta with shrimp which was incredible. My husband ordered the tiki tacos with fish and said not only was it the best fish tacos he's ever had but it was the best coleslaw he's ever gotten at a restaurant. Then they offered us homemade keylime pie made with the owners mother's recipe. Like I said we was full but I ordered some to go. It was so creamy and refreshing. I'm so glad we found this place and will definitely be coming back.“

“Went to this little Diner today called Casper's. It looks absolutely ghetto on the outside. The locals go on and on about it. I didn't put a lot stock in what people say....but it was enough , that the two of us wanted to check it out. Anyway I ordered a Double Whammy Burger. That is simply a double cheese burger with cheese and chilli on it. Ok the chilli is what they are famous for ...chilli dogs, burgers, frito pies and such. And I have to say, what shows up at our table. I was shocked and a little confused. I will tell you that this was so good, I kept eating until I was breathing hard. The fries were hand cut and a little on the dark side (Perfect) atmosphere..outstanding Service...top notch. I absolutely recommend this place and will take friends and family when they visit. any way as a recent transplant to Springfield, I have to agree with the nostalgic love of this place“

“Since the south Glenstone location in Springfield reopened have eaten there twice inside. Service was great. Food was good. Price was the same as before restaurant including bathrooms are clean. Called in a carry out today it was ready when I went to pick it up and still warm upon getting home realized there was a mixup in the order. Called and girl who answered gave me to I assume the manager who was very nice and understanding and offered to absolutely Fix it and even through in aside for my trouble. Only took 10 minutes to get the corrected order and it was very good. Would definitely recommend this location for dine in and carry out !“

“I was a server, bartender and toward the end-dining room supervisor of the private dinner club on the 22nd floor here for a few years, and it absolutely broke my heart when it closed. The relationships I made with the members are ones I cherish. I got to witness the most beautiful sunsets from what is the highest point in the state of Missouri. I miss it so much. “Upon arrival, I wasn’t expecting much as I had just sat at Verizon for 2 hours and my mom was driving so I had no choice in where we went for dinner. That quickly changed. As we walked in, everyone was smiling and in a good mood. I made sure to check with my alien spotting glasses and zero patrons were aliens. Jera took care of us and to say she was amazing was an understatement 🥰 enjoyed some fat, nasty fries(they were fat but FAR from nasty) and some fried pickles along with a couple crown black lbl cokes. We don’t eat out often as a family (our kids are young and don’t like sitting still) and we couldn’t think of a time where we had even close to the level of service that Matt provided us.
