“Visiting the Springfield area from Texas and was skeptical about the Mexican food. Jose Locos was excellent! We shared the Mo Meat fajitas with shrimp, beef, chicken, and chorizo. If you’re traveling through, try it out and it won’t disappoint.“
“PHENOMENAL!! Incredible home style cooking, this place is always packed with people enjoying Jo's food! We were in a bit of a time crunch, we ordered, got our food, and was able to pay in less than 10 minutes! Awesome service, and even better food“
“We went downtown looking for a late night place with food and music. We came to the right place. We didn’t realize we needed to call ahead but the hostess was gracious and seated us.The locals appeared to have fun, and the music was a good mix of popular tunes. We had cheese pizza, chips and queso, and Korean bbq (jackfruit)bowl. All were delicious, flavorful, and had great texture! We are not vegetarians, but the meal was very sustaining and satisfying. Even the cheese dip has me craving it even now! The scorpion bowl is a shareable drink that I’m sure will be a big hit.Vegetarian options: Plenty.“
“I have no better way to describe Civil Kitchen than just a really cool place. The restaurant is beautiful decorating and has a hip, welcoming vibe. Food was delish and the menu had the perfect balance of classic comfort American and dishes with a twist. We didn’t have any drinks but pursued their drink menu and they seemed to have a really fun menu.Parking: Minimal street parking outside the restaurant but there is a large public lot about 2 blocks away“
“A little late night fun for us. Went to play darts. We had basically the entire place to ourselves. For a Friday night it was very quiet. Staff said they get busy when there are major sports games happening. Service was great and food was good. We made our own fun ?“
“The DOP is definitely a 5 stars experience. Been here a few times and it's always a good vibe. My first visit there was a live band that did not disappoint. Went there another time had karaoke that had no restrictions on what can be sung (unlike other popular karaoke joints). The complimentary billiards is also major plus to the great experience. The bartenders and servers are always on their A game making sure everyone's satisfied.“
“Food here was great. Love the friendly staff and cozy outdoor sitting. Also while you eat you get to hear all and see all the peacocks there. So if you get a chance go vist Dickerson Park Zoo and try the café out.Kid-friendliness: They also have a playground out front for the kids to play at.“
“Food was very good. Server wasn’t very attentive and was off talking to coworkers at times when we needed assistance. The Wagu Burger was amazing and the homemade ketchup was a must, do not pass on it. The cashew chicken was a really great take on a Springfield classic. I would order again. Make sure you get the bread service. The smoked old fashion was great!“
“I got the catfish & 21 fried shrimp with coleslaw & beans. The catfish was perfectly fried, thick & juicy. It was damn good & I ate every single shrimp too. Also if you are staying at the best western next door, let them know for a discount ( the front desk recommended the restaurant). Make sure to thank Momma with her Magic in the kitchen too!“
“The food here is delicious! The service is amazing. They are friendly and always smiling and making sure you are taken care of. They even brought out samples of a few sauces for my kids to try! If you like a good burger with sports you'll love this place! Ps. Try the bronco burger it's awesome!“
“Nice place. Good for business lunches and quiet dinners. A little pricey for what you get, but overall a fair value. Service is usually really good. Couple of the staff have been there since I started going and are completely on their game. Fish Tacos and French Dip are decent.“
“This is one of Springfield‘s best restaurants. The food is excellent and it is a very large restaurant so it’s easier to get a table. It’s a little loud near the bar but other than that it’s a wonderful experience.Parking: Parking can be a little difficult to find as there are other businesses near it, sharing the same lot. The regulars tend to make spots near the front door, which make it difficult to maneuver around happy hour.“
