“Found this gem while visiting from Utah. The entire experience was outstanding! It’s located in a quiet part of town, don’t let that fool you, you don’t want to miss this place.
I ordered the flaming pineapple dish and my husband the mushroom and onion smothered chicken. Delicious! They even have a spicy salsa option for the spice hounds. Chips were fresh and warm:)“

“❤We passed by Casa Bella and stopped in on a whim. I had the Shrimp Chimichanga and it was delicious. The guacamole was the best I've had in Springfield but the refried beans were a little different from what I'm used to. Not bad though. My husband had Los Cuates. Both burritos were good and the salad was delicious.“

“Moving here from California, it’s been difficult finding genuine Mexican food supplies for my home made tamales, pozole and other Mexican cuisines, the corn husk were pricey but worth the quality. Very clean and fresh, the masa was quality and it worked well with my other ingredients to make some of the best tamales. It’s nice to have a place that carries the ingredients I need.“

“Really good Mexican and great service. Warm fresh tortilla chips with homemade salsa for everyone. We added on table side guacamole and queso…both were great. The fish tacos were amazing. We also had the spinach and cheese chicken enchiladas and the Bella special. Our family was glad to find an authentic Mexican place to come back to.“

“They were at the Hope on Wheels Car Show and so glad they were. I had the Asada Fries and they were so good, it was a huge amount too. My boyfriend had a ground beef burrito that was filled and big. Can’t wait to try something new next time. I highly recommend this food truck.“

“Had such a great meal last night with Clete Crutcher at La Paloma. It was late and most of the other local restaurants were closed or closing but we were welcomed at La Paloma. “Just stopped here for dinner and their was a gentlemen using the woman’s bathroom made Erin uncomfortable….but there is way more to this story. Don’t judge a book by the cover. The gentleman just got out of the hospital, and obviously had some gi issues. Where the story takes a twist the restaurant fed the gentlemen for free and gave him a ride to his house. Everyone should come eat their food here. Service is amazing and any business that supports our community like this deserves as much business as they can handle. The servers were so amazing I took care of the mans tab and will definitely be back soon. The wait staff interacted with me and my Fiance like we were family and like we were regulars. This establishments treats people as if they are actually family and not just a customer.“

“The restaurant was pleasantly quiet when I visited, which made for a relaxing experience. I approached the counter, selected a menu, and went with the Thai basil meal paired with hot water. After placing my order and paying, I found a comfortable seat and waited. My food arrived promptly, and the presentation was beautifully done. The dish looked appetizing, and the first bite confirmed it tasted just as good. The restaurant has a charming, aesthetically pleasing design, and it was easy to find despite being inside a hotel. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I felt well taken care of by the friendly staff, and the whole experience was very satisfying. I had a great time and look forward to returning to try more items on the menu.

“The food is good BUT they are not punctual with their opening hours…most mornings they don’t open the drive through till 8:10 or so…when their hours say 24 hours a day on the sign and 8:00 online. If they don’t open till 8:15 they need to say that so I don’t waste my time.“

“I love the National location with the juke boxes at the table and have very fond memories of studying for college here while eating yummy food. The other locations are ok as far as atmosphere but the consistancy of food quality is great. Used to live on North side and you can feel the age which I like. Love the bean tostadas but the cheese dip is great.
Vegetarian options: If you like vegetarian Mexican American food but don't want to spend a fortune, this is your place. The beans are lard free, chips are suppossed to be fried in veg oil with no meat items and the guacamole is sooo much better than it used to be. You can have fried or soft tacos (with/out cheese), guacamole tacos or burritos but I always get the tostada with guacamole on the side.“

“We love going to Farmhouse cafe. This past Sunday we ordered breakfast after attending an early service. I ordered the pork tenderloin. It was absolutely delicious! Very tender and flavorful. Our waitress was amazing as well. We will keep coming back!“

“Mexican Villa is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Springfield. Would recommend to anyone. They have wonderful hot salsa and chili con queso and of course Burrito Enchilada style is a good to meal. Can feed a family of 3 for less than $30 without issue.“

“We love Qdoba. This location was no different. Much preferred over Chipotle or similar options. The free queso and guacamole on entrees is amazing!! Veteran tip: 3-cheese nachos with chips on the side. Then you just dip away into the glory of Qdoba queso with a plethora of yummy toppings (rice, beans, street corn salsa, guacamole, shredded cheese, etc). We tend to go with adobe chicken, just because it’s cheaper and we enjoy it a lot!
Oh, and regarding the most frequent complaint with places like this - serving size was PLENTY. Tons of meat.“

“I went to the original location (where I loved the old memorabilia and history of this Springfield institution), for lunch one day in December. The service was outstanding, and the food was hot, with ample portions. The Christmas decorations were nice, too.“
