“We have been meaning to try them for a while and we finally we able to tonight!! We got the queso and it was amazing. I got the burrito with the smoked sausage, it was DELICIOUS!! We also got a flight of margaritas-VERY GOOD, and a lava cake to share. It was hot and delicious. All in all, great food and prices. They need to expand already, it was very popular!!“
“Good golly the food was tasty! Margaritas were spot on for my taste bud community! I got the pollo pablano dish and I’m so glad that I did. I ate half and brought the rest home…ate the rest for breakfast and enjoyed every bite! Horray for good food, great job y’all and keep up the good work!“
“Delicious authentic Mexican street food!I got two vegetarian tacos and a horchata. My partner got a chicken taco and my friends ordered the large order of tamales, super satisfied, freshAwesome menu selection many choices for everyoneSeems like a busy spot and they keep it down! The horchata is aaaamazing, best I’ve had in a long time. It’s singing to my taste buds“
“I love Taco El Gordo, the times I have went they treated me like family. Everyone is so friendly, even the owner. The food is first class, so don’t judge the place from the outside. The meats they serve in the food is unlike anything I’ve tasted. It taste like they butchered and prepared the meats fresh that day. I’m addicted to this place and need to increase my budget so I can eat here everyday. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, it’s a well kept secret spot.“
“Visiting the Springfield area from Texas and was skeptical about the Mexican food. Jose Locos was excellent! We shared the Mo Meat fajitas with shrimp, beef, chicken, and chorizo. If you’re traveling through, try it out and it won’t disappoint.“
“❤We passed by Casa Bella and stopped in on a whim. I had the Shrimp Chimichanga and it was delicious. The guacamole was the best I've had in Springfield but the refried beans were a little different from what I'm used to. Not bad though. My husband had Los Cuates. Both burritos were good and the salad was delicious.“
“Finally!!! SoCal Taco Shop food!!! For 20 years we have looked for a place to get the kind of food we had on every corner in San Diego and finally we have found you!!! The Carne Asada burrito is outstanding and the rolled tacos are just like home!!! Go go go go!!!!“
“great westcoast style mexican food. Authentic? yum. eating here weekly. We miss So Cal but this place helps.. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. We have been to both locations and they are consistent with their recipes. I've never waited more than 10 minutes after placing an order. Both red and green salsa are fantastic! I honestly do feel the tacos are over priced because you order 3 and its like you need 12... your still hungry and it's the same price as a giant burrito. But I know that is the price of street tacos around here so you gotta pay if you want em.. I will be honest and say the taquitos were not good what so ever... almost flavorless. the guacamole on top was weird and not good... I'm shocked because the rest of the menu is seriously fantastic but I couldn't even finish my taquitos.“
“For our first time trying Habaneros it was a beautiful night so we sat out front. Moises was very friendly and attentive. The Texas fajitas were delicious. I tried the Pollo a la Chipoltle and it was the perfect amount of heat. Food was great and they had a lot of staff around to get everyone served on a busy Friday night. We’ll definitely be back! Way to go Moises!“
“The mexican snack spot! I never knew there's one close by to me on the southwest part of springfield!! This place is legit to go for a yummy mexican snack! They do all kinds of chips mixture of combos. Their Elote (corn in a cup or cob) is super yummy! The owner fill it up with alot of flavor and she doesn't diappoint!! I been to a lot of mexican snack, and this place is super awesome! I've ordered the elote loca, tosticeviche, tosilotes extra spicy and rusa loca. All so good!! They offer alots of sweet snacks too, which i will try next time!“
“Great food and great service my grandson really likes the salsa the food is always really good for a great price. I really like the tostadas and the chile rellenos. And anything we have ever ate there has always been good.Kid-friendliness: They've always been nice to my grandson“
“Siempre fresco y delicioso!! Fresh, Friendly and Familia!! We really enjoy dining at Casa Bella and the staff makes the dining experience even more enjoyable!! Great Food, Great Margaritas and the friendliest service that makes dining at Casa Bella always enjoyable!! Muchos Gracias!“
“This taco truck has the best tacos in springfield. period. They never disappoint. Dispite being a small food truck, they have several varieties of proteins available. Try the lengua tacos, they're my favorite. The owner is also very nice. They are my go to guilty pleasure after the gym.“
“This place is amazing. We're from Southern California originally, and I'm so happy we found this place! The price is reasonable, the guacamole is heavenly, and the flavors were spot on. We've only eaten here once so far, but it is really fantastic and we plan on returning. The lengua had some tough spots, and there was some gristle in the carne asada, but the flavor was so delectable that I don't mind a few tougher bites. And the pork tamale was the best I had had in my life! The masa to pork ratio was absolute perfection. This place was worth every dime. The restrooms were clean, and the service was fantastic!Vegetarian options: We have to eat Gluten Free, so Mexican food is a great option with the corn tortillas. But my 8 year old also just had rice and beans and quesadilla, which is vegetarian as long as they don't use beef or chicken broth in the beans. You'd have to ask. But I would consider this place able to accommodate vegetarians.Dietary restrictions: Our 4 year old that has to be gluten free had street tacos (pollo, lengua, and chorizo), and they didn't have an episode after eating here. They are just gluten intolerant, so if you're a person with true Celiac disease, still be cautious. But Mexican food tends to be the most friendly gluten free option while eating out, we've discovered.Kid-friendliness: My kids had a blast looking at all the beautiful murals and colors in this place. They also have high chairs and booster seats, though we're finally out of that stage of life.“
“This place is great! We’ve gone several times and each time the service and food is outstanding. The tomahawk steak is amazing and is one of the best you will get in the area. They treat us like family and are always so friendly and appreciative of our business.“
“Just love going here! Always clean, the tables and chairs are beautiful! Want to try other dishes, but lately I seem to be hung up on the Chili Relleno!! I love spicy foods, but this is one that will open your pores and clear your nasal congestion! ? Always have had such polite service, got to say I've never been disappointed here! ?“
“First time trying this taco truck, the wife had the deluxe nachos, I had the asada fries. There is nothing bad to say about either one. The service was fantastic, the lady taking our order was very nice and answered all of our questions. We will be coming back to try more.“
“good food for a decent price, good deals on thursdays for tamales!they have a pretty good selection and good service! Spent $10 for my partner and i for dinner, not bad!Parking: free lot, easy to access. is in the elfindale center so there’s plenty of spaces!Kid-friendliness: has a good kids menu and is welcoming to families. they even have ice cream and treats for after dinner!Wheelchair accessibility: is wheelchair accessible“
“This is a great authentic mexican grocery store in Springfield Mo. In the very back (behind the Pan dulce - mexican pastry section) right hand corner is a small restaurant. It was hard to find but don’t give up looking. We use to go to Leslie’s often when they were near Jim’s Steak House. We didn’t know where they moved too and we were so glad we found them again. This new store/restaurant is definitely bigger than the other location.“
“Food is great!! Me and my Boyfriend come here during lunch and we looove them! They got spicy hot sauce that’s actually spicy in my opinion and the burritos are sooo good ?? ? Definitely Recommend. (My bf scarfed down his food before I could get a good picture! Lmao)“
“Use to go here just for chips and a beer, only had a couple of meals here. If you sit at the bar, prepare to be ignored and forgotten about for long periods of time - BUT if you get the 32oz draft of Modelo or Pacifico, you won't care. Chips and salsa are always good. Bathroom needs major updating.“
“Was in town visiting a friend in the hospital. Ate a mid afternoon lunch here. It is a hole in the wall place but so glad we stopped. We had cheese dip with our chips. I got chicken fajitas. Husband got cheese enchiladas and a cheese quesadilla. Food was so good. Staff were attentive with keeping drinks full. We will definitely return when we're in town.Parking: Plenty of parking for 1 ton and larger trucks.“
“We absolutely love this establishment! They catered my son’s wedding. A wedding that totaled 140 people. The food was delicious and the owners were so incredibly sweet! Thank you so much. Though we don’t live in the area, if I am back In Missouri will definitely eat their yummy food FYI. Price was lower than expected. What a blessing you were to a special day!!❤️❤️❤️ 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Oh my gollie goshers this mexican resuraunt made my toes tickle like the man under my bed does the food is so amazing everyone in my family loved it there are so many options to choose from and their drinks are top teir even Chester (the man in my closet) would love this amazing restaurant 10/10 just like how he sucks 10/10 of my toes as I sleep“
“Decided to try this place after a friend recommended it and it was great! I did the hibachi and it was enough for two meals and one of the fried sushi rolls (forgot which one). It was warm and melty and super tasty. Will absolutely be back!“
“this is one of my favorite places to eat in Springfield. don't let it's small size deceive you, the street tacos are superb. having grown up in Texas, this is one of the few places I've found in the area that gives me that taste of being near the border. I always make sure to stop here any time I'm passing through springfield.“
“Took a chance, and ate at the Farm house Cafe on North Glenstone. Cheese sticks with what tasted like homemade batter was really good. I loved the big portions, which made me feel like we was getting our money's worth. Country fried steak was huge. The only thing I would suggest is adding a little more seasoning on/in breading. My rating 9.5 out of 10 due to breading not having much flavor. Otherwise, everything was really good.“
“Tried this place on a whim. The margaritas were FANTASTIC. Fresh lime, very good! Chicken enchiladas can be tasteless, but these were seasoned so well and the crema was great! I judge a Mexican restaurant by their beans and rice and theirs are so good! Salsa is super fresh, not spicy. Chips are thin amd crispy. Great service from Andrea. Check them out!“
“Some of the best Mexican food I've had in Springfield I'm from Southern California so I know Hispanic food and this stuff was really good if you like Mexican food I'll have a recommend this place I had the chili relleno enchilada and the street taco all top“
“Food is great, service is the best family and very friendly. Everything I have tried has hit the mark and good, want go broke eating there. The salsa is made fresh I recommend the habanero sauce. If my wife and I spend over $25.00 it's because I had to have seconds.“
“This is an upscale Mexican restaurant with all the amenities you expect. Pleasant atmosphere, exceptional service and delicious food. I’m told the beverages were exceptional too. This is a popular place so highly recommend reservations.“
“So I just decided to try out this taco cart and I'm sure glad I did. The only thing I'm mad about is that I decided to try it on a Friday and it said they are closed on the weekend meaning I have to wait until Monday to come back for more tasty food lol. I got the dish called yummy fries and the name is very accurate. I'll definitely be back!!!!“
“Always have awesome service here. Immediately seated. Then greeted with chips and salsa. Drink orders always taken quickly and then brought to the table immediately! I always order a carne asada sope and a couple of street tacos. Never disappointed!“
“The best Mexican food around! The birria tacos mwah, the Mexicano burrito, fajitas, everything, even kids pizza taste like it was made from scratch! The appetizers are amazing. Service was GREAT!!!! GO CHECK THIS PLACE OUT OMG RACE SPEED THERE NOW!!! Don't WAIT GO!!!!Vegetarian options: Anything you can say no meat.Dietary restrictions: SeveralKid-friendliness: Very fun atmosphere and great kid food options.“
“I was extremely excited to try this place. I got a build your own bowl with chicken. The chicken was so dry and hard its not even edible. So disappointing. I did get the cheerwine dump cake and it was delicious so dessert for dinner I guess!“
“Had such a great meal last night with Clete Crutcher at La Paloma. It was late and most of the other local restaurants were closed or closing but we were welcomed at La Paloma. The service, the people and food was wonderful and the restaurant absolutely immaculate! Thanks Omar and La Paloma! Our hearts and bellies are full!“
“Some of the most flavorful tacos in town! Very good quantity and quality of meat! Love the fact that you can stay in your vehicle and they will come to you take your order and bring it back!Parking: Stay in vehicles they come to you take your order and bring it back“
“The actual “purple burrito” is so yummy!!! I get it mixed with chicken and steak and it comes with bacon too. It’s huge and enough for two meals. It’s not a place to go for atmosphere, but the staff is friendly and the chunky salsa is good too.“
“I love Taco El Gordo, the times I have went they treated me like family.
“From the moment i walked in, it seemed they had a table just waiting for me and my wife.. we were seated and had the drinks we ordered in 3 actual minutes.. we ordered our food and didnt have much longer a wait than our drink order.. the food tasted fresh.. the drinks were cold and delicious.. the wait staff was very attentive and fast it was nice to have good service and good food.. no mistakes.. just great! “Had the California Burrito Al Pastor with the 3 sauce and it was amazing. Next time I would just get the tomatillo sauce, but all three were good. Al pastor was spot on. Service was super friendly and I loved the rustic atmosphere. Would highly recommend. LOVE this place!“
