Aviary by Lavender Falls Cafe

I ordered this food to go for my husband and I, and had hoped that the food was good because everyone raved about this place. But sadly it was avenge at best we ordered the classic breakfast and the crepe Benedict with two side (French onion soup and grit with cheese and bacon). French onion “soup” had no soup cause the bread soaked up all the liquid and the cheese had melted to a hard plastic. If the owner is reading this I suggest placing the bread separately to avoid this problem. Classic breakfast was deplorable for any adult to consume that is if you are “almond mom” the portions are fit. For service was a two stars cause the staff had no organization on duties, the bar staff seemed distracted or just didn’t want to be there front end staff ended up taking my order and was taking forever for the order taking I had to repeat myself multiple times. After I finished placing my order I walked around and walked back the food was ready for sometime as the server said (sitting under the lamp). Overall, I had high expectations for this location but was letdown. Next time husband and I will try again but dine in maybe at will be better…

I don't know what happened to this place but it's not the same like it used to be. The tables were very sticky couldn't even put my arms on them. The forks were sticky and dirty. Went through five napkins rolls until found a decent one to use. The crepe was half the size I remember it being and very tough. Had to wave down my server because they were all in a group at the bar chitchatting instead of paying attention to the customers. The food quality went down but the prices went up. And I dont understand why they had to ruin the garlic aoili sauce by adding lavendar or something to it. Not gonna be our go to place anymore.

The reason for the 3 stars is not the food, or service. Once seated (50 minute wait) the service was on point! We sat in the back and it was pretty warm, every one of us commented about being hot. Let me address the TIP! We had a party of 9, the bills were divided 3 ways. I didn’t look at the bill too closely but it was $99 for 4 of us, and we all had water. That’s a bit much for breakfast/brunch. ATTENTION: The TIP was included in the bill!!!! (Yes I tipped an additional 20% on the $99 👎🏻) I know that’s “normal” for a large party but I am not sure if 4 or 9 is considered a large party?! I think the SERVER should let you know that the tip is already included in the total. It is an underhanded trick to not let customers know. This will hurt your business in the long run, please inform servers to be courteous to the patrons and giving them all the information, ie tip is included

A must-visit when we're in Springfield. Absolutely can't get enough of the wildflower-cottage vibe, the friendly staff, and the fresh, fluffy crepes. Love being able to join the waiting list online.

The Aviary is great and they have excellent gluten free crepes. We stop here every time we come through Springfield. This used to be my daughter favorite restaurant in the world until she had to have both gluten free and dairy free. A couple years ago, that wasn't an option here. But they have changed their recipe and now my daughter can eat here again. We really just love the food here and it's completely safe for celiac.

Is It Morning offering… eggs were slightly runny.
But the Pomme Frites were mostly soft not crispy.

Absolutely the best breakfast in springfield! I had a vegetarian omelet with feta cheese and they make pomme fritte to go with as well as hollandaise sauce, a truly exceptional,
breakfast or a brunch.

The food was absolutely delicious, the best place to get crepes of all different kinds. The servers were very quick and friendly, and made the whole experience worth it. I’ve eaten here a few times and they are always on top of things, and the food quality is never lacking. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try a yummy and welcoming brunch spot!
