Stopped by on a random Tuesday morning to see fresh inventory. I didn't need a whole loaf so I was really happy there were small rolls to try. It was about 9:00 a.m. and it was not busy at all. I was able to order quickly. I got one kaiser roll, 1 oatmeal cranberry cookie and a fresh Blueberry Lemon scone. I was mostly excited for the scone and unfortunately it was a bit disappointed. I don't know if it's just the dough that's used for the scone but it was very undercooked even though it was I believe just pulled out of the oven. It had this raw doughy consistency like it didn't finish cooking. I tried baking it at 350 for 10 minutes, then another 10 minutes it was very golden brown and still seem undercooked. I ate the blueberries and then through the rest away :( the roll I ate the next day, air fryer for 4min, it was delicious - made a bacon avocado breakfast sandwich. The cookie though , omg, was the bees knees - way better than I was expecting. almost 4$ for one medium size cookie , decided to cut into 4 to make it last longer 😅. I would go back to get more rolls and that cookie but wouldn't recommend the scones rn.

Loved the cookies and honey white bread.

I've been on the hunt for homemade sourdough since moving from CA. The grocery stores here only carry the kind with so many additives. I'm very happy with their sliced sourdough! I will be a repeat customer!!! Thank you Breadsmith :)

It’s a minute since I have been here, but I have to tell you that not only is the bread delicious(my daughter‘s best friend used to work there, but ironically, I never did have the bread at that time)
Today I went in and Pam took care of me. She had extraordinary customer service skills! I cannot remember her boss’s name, but if you see this, I hope that you give her a raise….
She truly went above and beyond.

Grate Challah Breads!

Needed a good multigrain bread with minimal, healthy ingredients, low sugar, salt, and potassium with no preservatives. Bread was fair and other small breads were not good and were very hard.

Dietary restrictions: Chronic kidney disease requiring minimal salt, sugar, potassium, and none of the unhealthy preservatives.

This was my first time trying Breadsmith and I was really disappointed. I bought a loaf of their most popular bread, which tasted good as I was given a sample; however, within 3 days it had mold on it. I paid $15 for a loaf of bread and 2 scones. It was also really dark inside, I don't recall the lights even being on there miiiiight have been one on up front, im not positive, but overall, very dark inside. Two young females were inside, one was on her phone sitting on a table (I believe) in the far back. I think I'll stick to Neighbors' Mill.

I feel like I got catfished. Everything looks good on the shelf but once you bite into any of their products you’re left disappointed. The baguette and the Kaiser roll were both extremely dense and heavy. It was also very expensive. $14 for one muffin, one baguette, two Kaiser rolls. It seemed like the breads didn’t have enough time to rise, hence lacking air bubbles. Not going back, being catfished once is enough.

Breadsmith in Springfield, MO is such a disappointment after enjoying the cinnamon swirl in Appleton, WI. They clearly are NOT all created equal. It must depend on who is doing the baking. The cinnamon swirl is a joke. Barely any swirl as seen in the picture I posted. The person behind the counter acted like it was going to be a huge mess to slice because of all the cinnamon. Okay…. I got home and sliced it myself with no issue and no mess. I tried buying it again thinking maybe it was just a fluke. Nope. Still not good. Now their sourdough is a different story. Always good and I will come back for more.

Bakery goods limited to just breads. Went there for their advertised fresh baked cinnamon rolls. Not sure how fresh as their rolls were packaged (5) and quite small and looked unappealing; pricy. Did not purchase.
