I work at walmart next to this bar and enjoy a few beers here most nights.
The crowd can be rough around the edges, but if you have some salt in your pockets, it can be fun laughing at the tough guys from the salty spatoon.
There are lots of cool rooms and a smoking patio.
Cheap beers and wells and great bartenders!
Longest and definitely the one of best dive bar in Springfield. š

I took my 91 year old Mother in for the Blues Society Jam session Sundayā¦ We sat in the cubbie with the comfy chairs. All around us, people were vaping! So, I asked the bartender (who drives school bus for Springfield Schools) why vaping was allowed? He told me ābecause he said so!ā Then some younger people sitting at the bar said āvaping was safeā thatās bullshitā¦. Itās the same as smokingā¦ š¬ I was miffed at the bartenderās attitude and want to know if this is the norm now? Iām having my 70th bday on November 23rdā¦ I will take my party to Archieās if this is allowed now. I also did not like the attitude of the bartenderā¦ what he says goes! I havenāt gone out for awhile, Iām usually in Galena on weekends but, this is a first for me at a bar I love!
