Went to this little Diner today called Casper's. It looks absolutely ghetto on the outside. The locals go on and on about it. I didn't put a lot stock in what people say....but it was enough , that the two of us wanted to check it out. Anyway I ordered a Double Whammy Burger. Best chili I've had in AGES. Burger was old fashion phenomenal. Meat hanging off the sides. You coul tell it'd never seem a freezer. They ran it through the garden for me, no hassle. Hand cut fries, nice and crispy. It was like something out of 1950s, without one ounce of fakery or put on . My one complaint: No gurneys to help me get to my car!
Casper‘s diner is a cool, quirky little place on Glenstone. Not quite as nostalgic as the old place they had on Walnut Street downtown, but still very cool. I think they have the best smash burgers in Springfield and their hand cut fries are excellent.
