The food was good - had the lobster tacos and they were fresh and flavorful. What I didn't like was the fact that they add a 10% surcharge for using a credit card plus they charged 15% sales tax. I can understand the surcharge and their right to add it - but I think they should tell customers in advance. I also question the 15% sales tax on a food truck - seems excessive plus I didn't get a printed receipt nor was I offered one. He tried to show me on his iPad and said the information went away and if I didn't like it I could eat somewhere else.
Paid $30 for two bland, cardboard chicken tacos. $2.50 alone for a solo cup of soda with no free refills. Presentation of food 0/10. Customer service was awful… the plants that were getting watered were clearly more important than us and the barely edible food we waited over 15 minutes for.
Walked in to the kindest people. We had a nice time dining there. Friendly folks and the food was excellent!!! I had lobster nachos the were amazing. My wife had a cheeseburger and fries and loved it. I will go back if I’m ever in the area again!!!
Holy smokes. I work for Pinegar Chevrolet in Republic Missouri and they were at our dealership today! Everyone here is raving about how good and fresh this food is!!!! The Bearded Dragon was phenomenal!!!!!! Will definitely recommend!!!!!
Came to this place today on a whim! Wanted something different. Chameleon is amazing! Friendly and efficient staff, environment is colorful and comfortable. Hot, fresh, flavorful! Everyone should try the Lobster Tacos! Can't wait for my next visit! Definitely recommend!!! ???
Simply delectable. A downtown Springfield GEM. The freshness, the flavor, the passion of the person cooking were all contributions to this amazing food. The Komodo Dragon Burger, from the quality meat to the flavorful bacon to the sauce was uncompassing joy for my taste buds. Lobster Tacos, fresh with large chunks of delicious lobster...no stinginess. The critiques I can make: Would have enjoyed a salsa with the chips, gosh I know it would be incredible. Next, the beautiful lady at the counter was pleasant yet had a distant vibe that made me feel not welcome. To be fair, she was eating dinner and we came in right before closing on a Sunday. The cook on the other hand, completely positive energy and went above and beyond that to make us feel welcomed. ?I will refer friends and come back.
Such a gem downtown. First time visitor, I ordered the lobster tacos. The taste is fresh, and bright and savory while also being gluten free- such a win. The difference is in the details and I will definitely be returning for more soon!
First time visiting this place. I was quite disappointed because of how much I paid for my meal. $15 plus a tip. I got the bearded dragon sandwich and a churro. And the churro, was fantastic. But the sandwich, not so much. My fries weren't cooked well and the sandwich itself was very greasy. I bet other things on the menu are great and I definitely do recommend trying this place. Sometimes it takes a little bit to get to know the ins and outs of cooking, so maybe it just wasnt a great night for the cook. just wish it was a little better because My bread is like sopping with oil or butter or whatever it is. The taste is there. Just too much oil. It was not an unhealthy meal I enjoyed.
This restaurant is phenomenal, everything I've gotten from here has been worth every penny and they are extremely accommodating with food allergies. I have celiac disease and cant eat gluten, and this is one of the few places i can eat at and not worry if it's going to effect me later because they're up front about what is gluten free and what isn't
So excited to have found this spot in Springfield! We will definitely be coming back here again. My husband and I both have gluten allergies and they were awesome about preparing our food in a separate fryer to avoid cross contamination. We tried the chameleon tacos, honey garlic wings & the rosemary garlic fries and loved it all! Definitely recommend this spot!

It was okay. Place was clean and had a nice aesthetic. However, I felt it was very lackluster.Burger was forgettable.I probably won't be visiting again.
Wow the food at this restaurant was delicious, everything was cooked with attention to details, the sauce, the flavor, how fresh everything was, a must visit restaurant in Springfield, Dragon Wings and Lobster nachos! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The price was fairly high for what you get. We were the only customers at the time and it took 35 minutes for our order. The food was okay, just not worth the price and wait time.
Little pricey but they give you decent ingredients with decent portions. Everything I had (and stole off of my companions plate) was delicious. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the iguana sandwich (I'm not vegan just a foodie) would definitely get again.
Absolutely fantastic. The food is well made and made with pride. I will definitely be back!
