Cinnabon at Schlotzsky's

I loved Schlotsky’s when living and working in Houston TX and was extremely excited to learn there were two locations in Springfield MO. Even though it’s an hour’s drive, I’ll make that drive for a Schlotsky’s Original anytime. The sandwiches come in different sizes and I get the large one because any leftovers keep well in the fridge and reheat in the microwave like they were just bought. Highly recommend this eat in or take out top notch sandwich shop.

I had a to go order and the debit card machine wasn’t working correctly. I discovered I had been charged two times for my order. I have called the store repeatedly to report the problem. The manger told me the extra charge would be taken off. It’s been three weeks and the charge is still there. I will not go there again to eat, and I intend to encourage all my friend to not go there.

On Sunday, July 26, 2020, I ordered a large Veggie Avocado Smokecheesy with EXTRA avocado for an EXTRA fee and a medium soft drink as a take-out order from this Campbell Rd location. I also wanted to get a box of Cinnabon's minis. I was informed by the cashier they don't make the mini Cinnabon's at this location despite flyers on their shelves that indicated they came in boxes of 15. I was told they haven't offered the mini's for the last 3-4 years despite the flyer having a copyright of 2018 (meaning it was printed on or after 2018 and then placed on their display shelves). Additionally, this Campbell location does not have a drive through. But, I went ahead and ordered the sandwich with extra avocados and a medium soft drink. I paid $18.36 for this sandwich and a soft drink. When I got home, I started eating the first fourth of the sandwich (it was cut into four sections) but didn't see or taste any avocados. Before eating the second of four, I closely inspected the rest of the sandwich--there were NO chunky avocados on the sandwich at all (as displayed on the menu and as I had experienced the previous day from the Branson Schlotzsky's on Hwy 76) and there certainly was no EXTRA avocados. I called the store on my drive back into the store so the in-store staff could address the problem. I spoke with Andrew, the kitchen "manager," who said he made the sandwich himself. He said he remembered the order and remembered not only putting avocados on the sandwich but extra avocados on the sandwich. He told me I didn't need to come into the store; he told me to send pictures of my sandwich to his General Manager, Sherri. I proceeded to the store anyway informing him I'd take pictures of the sandwich with him at the store. I wanted to see where the avocados were that he placed on the sandwich. When I arrived at the store, Andrew looked at the sandwich and proceeded to show me the light schmear of avocado on the top bun and the bottom bun. He said the sandwich was made to Schlotzsky's corporate specifications. He didn't offer to do anything. I told him I was very disappointed with his ability to take care of a customer--most importantly his ability to make a judgement call as a manager. He and I both took pictures. He shared his with his manager, I shared mine with the franchise owner and am now sharing them with you. I told him I would plan on visiting the store the following day to personally visit with his GM or the franchise owner to show them the same sandwich to see if they agreed. He told me I should come in from 9 am - 11 am or from 2 pm - 4 pm because they were busy with customers from 11 am - 2 pm. Of course, I wasn't terribly sympathetic to the manager's workload seeing how I had already been treated. I then drove over to the Schlotzsky's Deli on North Glenstone, owned by a different franchisee and under different management, where I received delightful service and a wonderfully made delicious large Veggie Avocado Smokecheesy with EXTRA avocado (just like the one I had in Branson the day before). The service at the North Glenstone location, was fast, attentive, and engaged. They prepared my sandwich quickly and served it up with lots of chunky avocados. I would recommend anyone choose the North Glenstone location (across from Evangel University) over the Campbell location. I took pictures of this sandwich for you to compare. The one with all the avocados was made at the North Glenstone location. The following day, Monday, July 27, 2020, I waited until 1:19 pm to call the Campbell store location. I reached Sherri, the GM, who told me she had informed the franchise owner, Kenon, of the situation and that he would be calling me back at his convenience. He returned my call at 1:33 pm; I was in a meeting and unavailable. He called me back at 2:08 pm. I told him what had happened. We ordered two large originals because I forgot just how massive of a sandwich it is! The sandwich tasted amazing and it was so big that I couldn't finish it. The girl that took our order was very patient and helpful. The guy that handed us our food was also very helpful, even offered us a bag to carry everything in. Definitely will return!

Clean restaurant, friendly staff, good selection and tasty food. A little expensive but worth the price.

A friend suggested we meet here for lunch and I was not disappointed. The staff is great, The dining area clean. And it smells so good when you walk in. Ordered our food and we were not disappointed. So fresh tasting!! I will go back!! Yum!

I love Schlotzsky’s and have been eating their sandwiches since 1980. I am so glad that Springfield, MO has retained one location and I visit it routinely even though I don’t live in the city. Good value for your money. Always taste fresh and flavorful.

We brought our Niece and Nephew here because they had never been to a Schlotzsky's. They weren't disappointed. The manager greeted us at the door and went over the menu with them. Thank you for never disappointing!!!

They make pretty good food here. Deli style sandwiches and other items to round out the menu. It is always fresh. Staff can be hit or miss.

Love the fiesta chicken sandwich and baked bbq chips. Sweet tea is good as well, really on the sweet side. Download the app and you can get notified of their deals. You also can get $7 off after 7 meals. Question of the day can also get you a free cookie. It’s a little more expensive than the other sandwich shops, but it’s not like them either. Salads, soups, pizza, and sandwiches. Haven’t had a bad meal here.

We have been going to this Schlotzsky's Deli for a number of years. It matters not, the time of day, or the day of the week- every time we dine here the order is freshly made and the sandwich is always perfect. EVERY TIME. The staff is usually friendly, and orders are processed and delivered to your table within a few minutes. The facility is always clean, and staff wastes no time keeping it this way. You can't go wrong here for a good lunch. They also have CinnaBon products that temp you with the delicious scent the minute you step in the door.
