A..ma..zing BBQ! So good! Might have to make another trip from TUS to SGF just to eat here!
Average at best, hadn’t been to City Butcher in a couple of years, but not worth the price. Pulled pork mushy, brisket average. Joe’s in KC 10x better. The lunch time traffic decline in customers was obvious
Best brisket in town.

This place was fabulous 5 star bbq. Then Covid and not sure what happened but the food took a left turn.
But just recently gave it a try and the food was solid.

Went at 1 pm on Thursday afternoon. They were already out of chicken and turkey. I had to make due with a small salad for $9. The salad had spring mix that was very bitter. It had canned tomatoes, canned black beans, corn that was probably canned or frozen and the ranch dressing came in a 1 oz cup that was half filled. It had obviously been made earlier as it came out in less than 5 min. I could not eat it. I tried to get a refund, but the counter woman refused. She argued with me about the corn and lettuce and ignored me. My husband got the sampler of all the meats available. It was served cold. He said it was some of the worst he had ever had. We paid
$70 for this atrocity. This is a walk up to the counter and order fast food type place. If you are hoping for a nice place to eat I would suggest looking elsewhere.

City Butcher, you have my heart🫶🏼 I had been craving one of the turkey sandwiches since my fiancé brought me one home a few months ago. Not only was it even better the second time around, but we also tried the ribs, pork belly sandwich, smokehouse beans, and jalapeño cheese corn - there was not a single thing lacking quality or flavor. You can tell how much heart and soul is poured into the greatness they’re putting out🩷 Support your local business, especially this one!!!
We ordered a variety of their meats for Father’s Day and I can honestly say it was the best BBQ I have ever eaten! Great Job City Butcher👏🏻👏🏻
That duo samich with pork belly and brisket is the bomb. Yes I know some would call it a sandwich but as good as it is that's a samich!! Baked bean were delicious. First time, for us but it won't be the last. We've got to go through the menu!7

Great big sandwich

Melt-in-your-mouth brisket!! Delicious sides. Seemed like very nice people, dog friendly (picnic tables out front under awning), great food. Wish we lived in town, we'd be back if we are ever in Springfield again!

Walked in two hours into opening and they were out of over half their menu before we were able to be served. Why open if you don't have anything? Did you want to have a short day and only work three hours on a Saturday? Ultimate laziness. Let me know when you are able to serve a full menu at open.
