We were greeted at the door quickly and seat immediately. The server took our drink order and was back with the drinks in a flash. We ordered our food and munched on chips. We didn't have to wait long before the food arrived. The food was tasty enough for mid-west Mexican.
The food is good, but I always order Chili Relanos and they are always cold in the middle, a big disappointment. Also I order to go alot and when I get home w my food, side items like tortillas or tacos are missing. The salsa is pretty bland here, but it is most places. Smaller portion sizes and less garnishes than before it was closed for the 'remodel' a couple years ago. The place is always cold when I eat there, I bring a sweater. I have been a big supporter of El Charro anywhere I find them. Whether it's here in Springfield or somewhere in Kansas, you can't go wrong with this bunch. More than fair prices, REAL good authentic food, and some even deliver themselves. Enjoy.
